  • Custodial parent no longer has a child in their custody, can they continue to receive + keep child support?

My husband's Ex had full Physical Custody and Joint Legal Custody of my Stepson...She kicked out my Stepson and told him to go live with his father...She refused to sign an affidavit that the child was no longer in her custody, causing the Child Support & Collections Division to continue to take child support from my husbands check, even though his son now resided with him...We were on Social Services for low income and the county counted the child support he paid as income because THEY saw the child in our custody...This lowered our assistance...But the Child Support Division continued to garnish my husbands check...And he had never been in arrears...The Child Support Division refused to stop child support garnishments until the Ex either signed an affidavit or my husband went to court for a formal change of physical custody...Since the Divorce & Child support was set in another county and we had no car to get there, it took from November 22, 2012 until September 3, 2013 to get to court and my husband received FULL physical custody...He had to go to court AGAIN to end his child support garnishments...The court dealt with the change in medical coverage and set "continued" child support that the Ex would have to pay...The support order did not state the Ex was to return the child support she received for the time my Stepson was NOT in her home and the order also did not contain any reference that she pays for the time retroactive that he lived with his father...The court order mentioned nothing of the overpaid child support for Nov-Sep....*Is the Ex allowed to keep child support for a child that no longer exists in the home??? And how does my husband go about getting reimbursement for the child support his Ex kept that she was NOT entitled to??? Isn't the Ex legally supposed to pay some type of support for the time my Stepson resided with his father before the court change of child support??? PLEASE help...This money kept put us deeply in debt and the Ex received over $4000.00 for a child she no longer had physical custody of...We reside in the state of Minnesota

  • how to stop my foot from bleeding after corn removal?

I had a hard corn on my left foot that made walking uncomfortable...Yesterday I soaked the foot and slowly removed the corn fully, even the small hard round corn...My foot has a small puncture like wou nd now and it took forever to stop bleeding...Elevating my foot above my head for a few hours allowed the bleeding to stop with the help of a heavy gauge padded bandage...The foot was cleaned after the corn was removed with Hydrogen Peroxide and then Tea Tree Oil...I added a cotton ball soaked in Hydrogen Peroxide and a pressure gauge...I just checked my foot and the hole looks like the blood has filled and is setting...NOW...How do I redress and care for the open wound while it heals??? How should clean it without causing it to bleed again??? Thank you kindly in advance of an answer...And YES, I know it was dumb to remove the corn on my own...
