I'm a retired ASE Auto, Light Truck, Heavy Truck and Heavy Equipment master tec. I spent two yers in Vietnam as a Huey crew chief/door gunner. I owned and operated my own heavy truck shop for 30 yrs. I sold and retired from it in 1998 at the age of 50. And went into my true love of restoring 1973-74 Dodge Chargers. These are called the lost years and what people don't understand is with the new front ends they are the best of the coke bottle Chargers. If you want to know it about a 1968 to 1974 B body Mopar just ask me. And repairing 1994 to 2002 Dodge Ram 1500's only.

  • This is false advice?

Changing your car's oil every 3,000 miles. Check your owner's manual. Three months or 3,000 miles is the oft-spouted guideline, but in reality, manufacturers typically suggest an oil change every 5,000 to 7,500 miles. Cutting two unnecessary oil changes per year could save you between $50 and $80. And you won't waste time sitting at the car shop. This is for perfect driving conditions all open road.

Stop and go is extreme driving conditions under those manufacturers recommend 3,000 miles. Everything one reads by some so called expert don't make it true.

  • Why don't peoiple service the A/C in there car every spring. Instead of ignoring it and paying me 80 grand a y

I can't understand this, and the worse thing is they try to call an honest Tech that has to know 300 makes and 20 yrs of automobiles a rip off. The men and women with ASE on there shirt know there job. And there years of knowlage don't come free. We had to learn the new stuff everyday, we own 50 grand worth of tools to make our living. Being an auto tech is a nasty filthy agravating costly way to earn a living. Try it sometime if you don't think we are worth paying for our knowlage and labor.

  • How does one find the true value of there home?

Public records show my house 100sgft smaller than it is. And they

don't show a two car attached garage. Let alone the fact that it sits on 1/2 acer instead of a postage stamp lot. And another three car

garage out back w/half bath. Triple wide concrete driveway. Oh and

a 10X20 hand biult on a slab out back that had no damage from Ivan.
