  • Please help me with this ? in regards to defamation of character or slander...?

If a previous employer has said things to prevent a possible new employer from hiring a group of workers to the new company where they have applied does this count as defamation of character or slander...one of the workers bumped into an employee of the new company & he was told that his old boss called up the new company to say that he was having problems with the employees submitting COD's. There fore giving reason to the new company not to hire workers from his company (who have not paid workers & fled closing its doors).

  • Wedding planners & anyone in the business. How do I handle this little problem?

My Husband & I own & run a DJ service. We are willing to travel almost anywhere for our clients. We live in a metropolitan area & may travel as little as 5 miles to as many as 70+ miles. It can be difficult to meet some of the venues expectations. I have the reoccurring problem that the venue we are supposed to play at has a strict set up time. For example they want us setup between 10am-2pm, the event isn't starting till 6pm. I prefer to go set up at about 4:30-5pm if we are traveling more than 25+ miles.

Sometimes if the GIG is near by my husband sets up early then goes to work then goes to play at the gig so its not that we aren't willing to work with client or venue. I don't mind setting up early but sometimes my husband has to work even when we ask for the day in advance they need him (full time job). I am not interested in charging more but I believe that some venues charge if they have to open again. I have heard something like $50.00 which isn't much but it is still money.

What would you do? How can I include this in our contract so that clients aren't surprised about having to pay a fee to the venue.

What stipulations can I include in my contract to protect ourselves & how can I word it so that it is clear.

I have tried to get clients to put pressure on the venue to accomodate us but because they charge extra I lose everytime. I guess I'd have to charge more than the venue inorder for client to be willing to pay venue fee.

FYI: I would hands down put Contract work before Job & pray for the bes

Well, my mom has been sick for a few months now. I just wanted to know if any one has had similar symptoms or knows someone & what their diagnosis is/was. She had a biopsy of her lymph nodes near her heart they were swollen, the biopsy came back inconclusive they sent it back then it came back clear. Her Doctors have run all kinds of tests on her & have come up with nothing. CHF has not been diagnosed I am not sure why. I have done a little bit of research & that is one of a few things that I have come up with.

  • Please Help, I hate being pregnant!!! Did you enjoy your pregnancy, what did you do to make it better.?

So I am 9 weeks Pregnant (2nd child), so far I am not enjoying a single bit of it, much like the first. I know that it is primarily due to the fact that I am in my first trimester. I am gaging on mucus right at the back of my throat. I feel EXTREMELY tried all day & its not just to the point of sleeping, I don't have the strength or energy to do anything. I don't eat much all day at this point cause I can't stand the smell of anything & that mucus dosen't help either. What did you do to get passed this period in your pregnancy?

FYI: I am a stay at home Mom.

  • Is it a Legitimate excuse for someone to stay away from her only brother because his wife is "Bossy"

HI, I am the "Bossy Wife" in a nut shell my sister-in-law says that they don't come over to visit us because I am bossy. Aparently one time when they were here I insisted to my husband to sit down & finish his coffe even after he said that he was finished. I guess there were other instances of my bossyness. She says that if I treat him that way when they are around how do I treat him when they aren't there.

I feel that my being "bossy" shouldn't stop her from seeing her brother. I think that when she has a chance she could confront my husband (somehow) & mention that she notice my being so bossy, so that he could reasure her or break down if it is really that bad. I think that it is just a crapy excuse to blame me because of other familiy problems.

  • Can I buy a fire hose & use it if it is ever needed?

I live out of the city. the last time that there was a fire out here it took the fire truck 30min from the time I called. I am sure that the neighbors that were closer to the burning home had already called the Fire Dept so who knows how long it REALLY took. We only live about 2 miles from the city line & there are a lot of houses out here. I am just afraid that it could be us or one of my neighbors. I have already looked on ebay they have them. I just don't want to buy one use it then get in trouble for it. I know it dosen't make any sense you you & me but what would the county or fire dept do.

What are the other parts that I should look for & possible purchase to make sure it works well.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Is it possible to remove old debt from my credit record?

I have some unpaid debt anywhere from 2-10 yrs old. Approximately 5 accounts in total. I live in Texas the last website I checked stated that the statute of limitations is 4 yrs on debt collection. I just wanted to know...

    1. If the older debts can be taken off of my credit record?

    2. What are the steps that I need to take to do that?

I would like to pay off some other more recent debts. I have been contacted by collecting agency's about the most recent debts but there isn't much I can do financially at this time.
