  • Is there any GB limit on a DSL connection?

I have a dsl connection and it's actually not too bad. Fairly fast and not much buffering. We can have several devices on it at once. Often times three or more movies going at once and even a regular internet connection on a Kindle or laptop. Is there any bandwidth limit on a dsl line? Seems not as our family is really soaking up movies, music, You Tube etc. I never really saw any limits on the phone bill or had any warnings about using too much. I figure an old fashioned phone line is not so sexy so they give you pretty much all the bandwidth you want? Thanks.

  • What in hell is with all these ads?

I haven't been here for some time and now I find the answers full of ads. Garbage. Creeps. Bums. Agreed?

  • ??? about aliens (from space that is)?

Why don't they stop buzzing by and making all these people call 911 and simply kick our axs and take our cars and beer and split? What's with all the lights and mystery? Just get it over with and whoop our puny Earthling butts and go home and laugh about it?

  • How can I decrease my intellectual prowess?

Sadly even the modicum of intellectual stimulation I'm still capable of seems wasted on the modern version of the Three Stooges that seem to comprise the bulk of society today. I've drank attempting to quash a variety of brain cells but even mass murder of billions of cells leaves me far ahead of today's legions incapable of spelling "cat' or "dog" correctly. Sigh, what would one suggest?

  • I'm outraged and enraged!!!?

Actually I'm pretty calm and relaxed but with all the anger floating about I feel like I should be sputtering and raving to be in the in crowd. Could you perhaps supply an issue that I should stand on the corner and bemoan? Thank You!

  • Those True with the U underlined ads?

Uh, do you really think those obviously sexy women are just sitting around waiting for some lonely Big Mac eating dude to chat with them online? I mean don't you think there's probably some rather large gal with secret sauce dripping on her chin more likely to be the person on the other end?

  • How's about we pop a brew?

To h*ll with all this black/white, lib/con, rich/poor BS. Can't we just suck a brew down and forget all this crap? P.S., what's your favorite brew?

  • I notice DMX doesn't enjoy his pink jail garb?

Sad isn't it? Maybe he shouldn't do things to land in jail? What a concept, eh?

  • So let's see here, the Non-crooks are the bad guys?

Abukar Haji, uncle of one of the dead pirates, blamed the naval surveillance for the accident that killed his pirate nephew Saturday.

"The boat the pirates were traveling in capsized because it was running at high speed because the pirates were afraid of an attack from the warships patrolling around," he said. Apparently he learned his logic from the ACLU?

  • Alright! Another bailout! Will this be the one?

To fix everybody's woes?Or will the billions going to Citigroup simply seem to melt away to some netherworld of non productive money disappearance like the other how many are there bailouts?

    1 AnswerOther - Society & Culture1 decade ago
  • What are your plans for your bailout billions?

I think I'll buy a small third world nation and raise an army to attack rich countries so I can lose and get aid. What ideas do you have for the billions the US Gov't. will soon be sending your way?

  • Bailout the breast augmentation industry?

With all the industries clamoring for help I think a good candidate for some billions would be the breast augmentation industry don't you? We certainly want to support, er, that is uplift, uh, I mean prevent any sagging, well that is to say, any deflationary, umm, perhaps it's just simpler to say we don't want to see any shrinkage in this vital American enterprise. Don't you agree?

  • Am I being I guess they call it "stalked"?

It seems almost every one of my answers gets at least one thumbs down. Now I'm not so presumptuous to think I shouldn't be without any thumbs down. I'm sure some of my answers are not worthy of high praise. But it seems as though even the most docile, innocuous answers I give gets at least one? And it seems rather odd that it's usually one, just one? Your thoughts? Thanks....

  • Questions about quespinions?

A quespinion is an opinion expressed with a question mark tacked on at the end. I actually don't mind them. What I do mind is the rage directed at you if you don't do the questioner's PC bidding by disagreeing with their so-called question. This is especially prevalent in the politics section. Have you had similar experiences when you try to answer one of these frivolous questions?

  • Is the real problem the way we humans are now living?

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081019/ap_on_re_as/as...

People in China in distress because we won't pay more for toys? What about a new paradigm of humans living for something bigger or more useful that garnering more money? Any suggestions?

  • Were you invited to the AIG spa retreat?

With the AIG execs using bailout funds? I know they've been terribly stressed from all this turmoil so I can understand why they needed a rest. Can't you?

    3 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade ago
  • Is it finally time for a new paradigm?

A world not about production and consumption and profit making? Perhaps a world about simply living as humans and ensuring a high standard of living for all? I have no illusions of the difficulty of such an endeavor but it's quite obvious something's wrong here now. How would one produce what's needed in the new world I speak of without the profit motive? That's for you to answer. I merely proffer the question. Apparently all the economic models our human culture have produced have some major failings as evinced by the current difficulties in the capitalistic free market (although highly regulated) models we're now living in. So, any ideas?

  • How about a new style of Olympics?

One in which the participants skip the tedious running, jumping, sword play and flinging various devices? Why not have each contestant compose an essay on how they had to overcome some adversity (ADD/ADHD, poor nutrition, bombs, too much pool chlorine, and other such adversity)? It seems as though that's all every winner's story was reported by the media? I'm out of Ahhhh!!! supply?

    1 AnswerOther - Society & Culture1 decade ago
  • Anybody else not care about the Olympics?

Not that there's anything wrong with them but for some reason they just seem over hyped to me. If you enjoy them then I say good but to me as I said they just seem, well, dull?
