  • Insurance companies prejudice?

    Recently I heard that owner of those breeds of dogs deemed as vicious are being denied or charged higher rates homeowner insurance rates. Two of the dogs listed were Rotties and Chows. In the past, I’ve shared my life with both of these breeds and they were the most gentle, loveable dogs I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing.

    Has anyone who owns one of the breeds on the blacklist, been denied insurance? How do you feel about this prejudice? Do you believe breeds are bad or do you believe that there are bad owners who raise their animals to be violent?
