  • Baby crying while nursing. clearly hungry, but not when given dummy/pacifier... ideas?

    as above, my 4 month old baby is clearly hungry, but she cries the whole time while she nurses - even going back to nurse more and cry more. Eventually I gave her a dummy (pacifier) out of desperation. Now she's calm, but clearly this doesn't solve the 'hungry' issue. Anyone know what could be wrong? Lets assume I've already dealt with the usual suspects.

  • small yellow pearl-sized liquid-filled fruit-thing... any idea what it could be?

    I recently ate this small prepared fruit thing on a salad bar and I'm very curious as to what it is. It seems to be from the inside of some kind of fruit but I can't really tell. It's very sweet and juicy and reminds me of passion fruit but passion fruit has that darker bit... doesn't it?

  • Where in the Atlanta area (GA) could I rent a car with manual transmission?

    At some point I and my husband intend to travel abroad, where manual is far more common in rental companies. It's been a while since I've driven stick and want to get some practice in. Any ideas where around stone mountain (or anywhere Metro Atlanta) we could get ourselves a practice vehicle?

  • Maths question - how to work it out?

    It's been a while since I was in school and I find myself frustrated that I can't answer this question, so if anyone could tell me the method for working it out (not necessarily the answer, actually, just the answer would be not cool) that would be wonderful...

    A=3, B=4, X+Y=123

    (XA) + (YB) = 466

    It's annoying when you can't remember something, no?

  • Where to buy Mead in Georgia, USA?

    I'm getting married in December and both myself and my fiance hate champagne. So I suggested we go for something a bit different - mead. It just so happens that I can't find any breweries local to him that make mead, though. My resources for searching are limited to the internet (I am in the UK). Maybe it's the area - I don't know. So, does anyone know where we (and by we, I mean he) could pick up about 30 bottles of mead for a wedding toast? (And maybe 12 more for the honey moon). Also, when I say mead I don't mean white wine with honey mixed into it....

    'My Whole Foods' doesn't have it.
