I've spent most of my high school years majoring in Architectural Drafting and Computer Aided Drafting. I plan to continue to college and obtain my degree, but I was wanting to have a full time job in the field. I was wondering if someone could recommend some work I can pursue in the field that is available to people with no experience.

Hi, I'm doing a tune up on an 02 Accent and there's a plastic cover in the way, right underneath the oil cap. There's 3 screws, but they're not normal threaded. You spin them with a screwdriver and they just spin and spin both ways.

I got the driver side one out by prying up on it with a flat head while I was unscrewing it. I got the cover up enough to look at the threads and they were slanted one way, then half way up they slanted the other way.

I've never seen those screws and I have no idea how to take them out. I've been looking for instructions online but I can't find anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

My laptop is less than 6 months old but now all of a sudden I'm having a problem with my sound card and speakers. The sound card still thinks it's working fine, and the computer's built in diagnostic shows the equalizer jumping with the sound.

The building I just moved into is a crappy apartment and there's been a huge build-up of static electricity all the time. Sometimes when I'm sitting on a chair with the laptop plugged into the wall I'll get zapped every time I set it down then pick it back up. Sometimes it arc's off of the metal chair, sometimes the laptop itself zaps me.

I thought it was just the carpet, but it seems to be more frequent than it should.

Then today I went to plug the headphone jack into a surround sound stereo and the audio output didn't work. I restarted several times since and it still doesn't put out sound. When I plug in headphones I can hear static, but nothing when they're not. I know it's not the volume.

My 96 Buick Century is not getting power to the lights, power locks, and power seats. The clock keeps resetting so I'm sure there's an open in the constant power circuit. I'm reasonably sure that it's a faulty fusible link, but I have 5 of them. Does anyone know where I can find the chart telling me which is which?

I have the Haynes manual and it's not in there. I have searched everywhere on the net but can't find it. I thought it was the biggest one but when I replaced it it didn't make any difference. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

I rebuilt part of my motor which somehow caused an electrical shortage on my vehicle. The lights didn't work for a while, but one day when I was pulling fuses they just decided to start working. I drove for a month or so and they all of a sudden stopped working again. All the fuses I've checked are fine.

Here's the things that don't work:

Headlights/Taillights

Dome light/instrument cluster lights

Brake lights

Horn

Cigarette lighter

Power door locks

and there is also an "anti-lock" light on my dash

Things that work:

Blinkers

Radio

Power windows

Windshield wipers

Heater

If anyone can narrow this down for me I would greatly appreciate it. I have decent mechanical and electrical knowledge, just not enought do diagnose the problem myself.

I know there was laws passed recently forcing advertising websites to comply with a "CAN-SPAM" compliance. Well when I go to their website to un-subscribe an error message pops up so they are not really complying with the law. I hit the spam button to block them but they keep sending advertisements from different email addresses so there is no way my email provider can keep up.

I want to know how to report a company that is not complying with this law so they will stop sending me emails. What is the orginazation that is supposed to enforce this law? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

So has anyone found a phone for yahoo messenger that's not almost $100?

I don't care if it's cordless or not, I just want a phone that I can pick-up and call someone and not have to click "answer call" with my mouse every time someone calls me.

While I'm on it, does anyone know if there is a keyboard shortcut you can push to answer calls instead of having to shut off your screen saver, find your mouse pointer then click "answer"???????????

i've been using windows media player for awhile but it's apparent there is some sort of software conflicts now with a new media reading/burning program. probably too many codecs or something. anyways:

can someone suggest a good media player for my music library other than slow *** real-player and suck-*** itunes? thanks

What about those of us that feel that the public should enforce mandatory abortions on stupid people and proven unfit parents (Britney Spears is a perfect example of both). Or perhaps a better solution would be to fix all the newborns and make them qualify for a breeding license once they've proven themselves worthy to propagate the species?

This is similar to my other question yes, but I need to ask a really simple question:

Will a stretched clutch cable cause the bike to slip in 4th and 5th gears?

It is a 1981 Honda CX500c. The cable only has maybe 200m on it, but those were all pretty rough as the cable was giving me problems. It was really hard to pull in to downshift and upshift past 3rd. I got that fixed(I think) but driving it that way for a few days may have stretched the cable.

So anyways would that cause the slipping, or does it sound like it may be something else? BTW, the clutch plates and friction discs are all pretty new, so there shouldn't be anything wrong with them. Those 200 miles I drove it there was no slipping. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hey guys I just got my old bike running again, but I'm having some slight problems I could use some help with. I rode it for a couple of days with the clutch a little messed up. It would become really hard to downshift once I got to around 4th gear, so I took it apart and I'm pretty sure I fixed it.

Well when I got it back together the clutch would not engage at all when I let off the lever. It wouldn't go anywhere in any gear, like the clutch lever was still being pulled although it wasn't. Well I took it apart again and put it back together and it started driving fine.

When I got to 4th gear it would begin slipping, and 5th gear was even worse, especially at high rpms. I have tried adjusting the cable at the clutch housing and the clutch lever, but now it just slips when I try to put it in first. I have tried many different adjustments but nothing is working for me. So can anyone here tell me how to properly adjust it? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Can someone tell me what would cause the sink to be clogged and take very long to drain, and also cause the dishwasher and washer machine to drain into the sink. I don't have the vent thingy on the top of the sink, so I know that can't be it. I am pretty sure we're part of a sewer system, and the bathtub, toilet and bathroom sink all drain just fine. Please help me identify this problem, I can't afford a professional plumber!! Thank you.

It has been doing this for 2 days now. I try to make a call about every 2 hours. Before it's able to ring it disconnects and says unable to make the call, please try again later. It also does not connect when I try to answer incoming calls. Is anyone else having this problem or are they just screwing me over?

My brother took a bag of raw chicken strips out of the freezer last night when he was re-arranging it. He accidentally left the bag on top of the fridge. They were frozen and now they're completely thawed and room temperature. They didn't smell too bad, but do you think it would be safe to eat them after baking them for a while? I would guess it's been exactly 24 hours.

Garbajosa has been playing like garbage lately. The best looking free-agent in my fantasy league right now is Troy Murphy. I am thinking about trading him, but I don't know anything about the Warriors or Raptors. Can someone give me some insight as to what I should do? Murphy has slightly better averages and better efficiency, but Garbajosa usually plays more minutes. Anyone know about any possible changes to these teams that would affect their minutes? Any help would be nice, thanks.
