    Any ideas for entertaining parrots?

I have a double-yellow headed amazon and he's a pain! I love him, but I need more ideas for stimulating him. He's got plenty of toys, and I give him at least two hours of attention a day, and at least 6 hours outside his cage. Even when he's locked up, he's got toys and hidden food in his cage. It doesn't seem to be enough though. I'm currently homeschooling and I can't get anything done because he's constantly getting off his cage and attacking the dogs, eating things, biting me, etc.(On day he managed to get on the fridge and at 100 envelopes because my brother didn't watch him) We recently bought him a large wooden toy and ladder, but he destroyed the ladder on the first day and almost killed himself with the rope. I had to remove the second toy because he chewed through to the chain within a couple days and was about ready to kill himself with that! He can't have anything with rope in or on it because he plays to aggressively and gets it caught on him.

He's very motivated by food, and will basically do anything to get to it. However, I can't just give him food all day or he'll get fat.

Any suggestions? Any toys or games I can play with him?

    Here's a few I've tried:

I let him walk up and down the stairs for a treat.

I've taught him several tricks such as shakes, high fives, and singing songs to entertain himself

I've given him boxes because he likes to run around in them, and plenty of stuff to chew up

I let him walk around the house (supervised of course) and explore

  • Some Unique Superpowers?

Basically, I'm writing a story that involves people with superpowers. However, I don't just want to use the generic ones such as "invisibility" and "flying." Do you know any obscure ones or can you come with any I can use? Thanks a bunch!

Here's the ones I've already gotten:

    Heat Manipulation

    Omniscience

    Atmoskenises (Controlling the weather)

    Controlling Corpses

    Being Cold-Blooded

    Manipulating your face (For disguises)

  • Tips on talking to people?

This may sound like a weird question. Basically, I moved to America recently and am having trouble making friends. I have social anxiety and am very shy/unassertive and I'm having trouble saying a word to anyone. I act differently than a lot of people around here, so it's very hard to think of a conversation starter.

People don't want to talk to me either. I've tried to talk to several people before, but they will only talk to me when they want to copy my answers or borrow some supplies. If not, they will either straight up ignore me or refuse to say a word.

I'm also extremely nerdy, which isn't a trait anyone seems to have in this school. I had a few friends, however once they found I was boring to be around and wasn't hyper, they just all stopped talking to me quickly.

At the moment there are a few guys I talk to, however I don't think we can be considered friends. I'm also a little scared of rumors being started about me since I only ever talk to guys. People have already started asking them if we're dating or if I'm flirting with them. Another guy talks to me, but just to ask me out repeatedly.

I'm really fine with getting along with anyone as well. I can get along with anyone and I'm not rude or anything, but people just don't seem to want to talk. Any tips on getting people to talk to me? I don't mind being alone, however sometimes (especially when we're asked to chose our own partners and I'm just standing there alone) I just want someone to talk/listen to. Ideas?

  • Why are high school students so unmotivated?

So... I'm a freshman and I just moved to America from the UK and it's very different. This isn't so much as a straightforward as it is an opinion question. People at school always say things like "I'll never need to do this" and "I'm planning to drop out anyway" and I was wondering if any of you share this opinion or have any idea why people act like that. They will also stare at themselves on Snapchat all say and it really irritates and demotivates me. I try all class to keep good grades and these people are okay with LITERALLY getting single digit scores as their final grades. I don't understand the mindset of people like this. They just seem to go with whatever happens and I worry about their future. Why do you think people start to act like this without a care about finding a job in the future. Is it laziness, idiocy, or maybe the way they were raised?

  • DO vs. MD?

I've decided to become a neurologist and I was wonder what the exact differences between DO and MD degrees were. Which one takes longer training? Which on gets a higher salary? Do you need to stay in school longer for one? Do the tuition and class fees cost more for one? Is one favored by doctors over others? I would greatly appreciate any sort of information you could give me.

  • Are online colleges looked down upon?

I've been thinking about my plans to go to college a lot recently. I've decided to become a neurologist, however I know that it is really expensive to go to medical school. Because of this, I decided that online school might be the best because it would give me more time to work and I wouldn't have to spend money on a dorm or apartment near the school. I'm only fourteen/freshman at the moment so I haven't really been told too much about college, so I was just wondering if online schools are looked down upon. I don't want to lower my chances of getting a job for using an online one. I also have a bad experience with college where my dad lost his degree because the online college and I don't want something like that happening to me.

I'm sorry if this is a ridiculous question. No one has told us anything in my school yet since almost everyone is already planning to drop out...

  • Why can't get my basset hound to walk?

I have a four month old basset puppy, and can't get him to walk. He doesn't show any excitement when I bring out his harness, and I literally have to drag him out the door. After that, He lays down, and refuses to get up. He tried dragging him, but he just layed down until e cut his belly. We tried standing up and forcing him to walk, but he just flops down. We tried treats and encouragement, but neither work. We also walk him in the evening so it's cool enough for him to walk.
