Why does Yahoo change formats so much?
1 AnswerOther - Yahoo Products5 years agoShould I tell my roommate about his obnoxious mannerisms?
He is a really nice person and cooks dinner alot but when he is at his computer about every 30 seconds he goes "huh" and hums for a few seconds every 2 minute or so, its almost like he has turrets or something. We share a thin wall in a crappy place and he stays up till 3 am all the time and the noise is very audible when I am trying to sleep. I feel like I would be dick mentioning it since he cooks and does the dishes on his own accord all the time.
1 AnswerFriends5 years agoIs compulsively eating greens such as spinach, lettuce, collards etc counterproductive toward losing weight?
I'm a 33 year old man with a gut that seemed to just appear over the last year. I just changed my diet up alot to cut out most fats and have been eating salads with no dressing and lean protein sources everyday. In between meals I find myself going to the fridge and stuffing my face with leafy greens, I'm not particularly hungry but I have always been fairly compulsive in any habits I have whether they are good or bad. I am getting a decent amount of exercise but nowhere near gym-rat exertion. Am I hurting myself by overeating even though they are just leafy greens?
5 AnswersDiet & Fitness7 years agoCan a judge be punished for letting a dangerous offender bond out if he commits another serious crime resulting in death and/or injury?
26-year-old Robert Corchado was the guy who fled the scene in the Orlando day care crash that killed 1 child and injured several other people.
In December 2013 he was arrested for hit and run with property damage, possession of heroin and cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of over 20 grams of cannabis and possession of a controlled substance. He bonded out for around $10,300.
He had also served 3 years in state prison previously for cocaine trafficking.
He was obviously a flight risk and the judge let him out of jail anyway. The Seminole county court judge's name is Marlene M. Alva.
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoBought a car out of state, registration question?
I've been in Washington state for a while and my current vehicle was too old and uncomfortable to drive back to Texas. I didn't realize the registration sticker on the vehicle I bought expires this month. I still have my TX drivers license so even if I wanted to register it in WA I would have to change licenses too right? Washington has trip permits but they are only for 3 days and only valid there. Texas has them too and they are valid for 5 days. Is this my only option? Registering it in Texas by mail doesn't look like it would work because I need proof of state inspection. Should I just drive it home and if I get pulled over explain the situation?

Politically impossible? Unfortunately yes. Good idea? ABSOLUTELY!!!! All public officials should be held to the strictest standards.
2 AnswersCurrent Events7 years agoWhy does yahoo keep changing formats in such stupid minor ways?
They change the graphic layout very slightly all the time and it screws up the site all the time. Why do they insist on doing that? Don't they know it sucks?
1 AnswerOther - Yahoo Products7 years agoIs a previous DUI arrest probable cause for a roadside search?
The police officer who pulled me over said that it was but I still politely refused and told him it was my right to say no. He didn't end up searching me but he said only because he had something to go do. I am pretty sure he was way off and I have it all recorded on video.
3 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police7 years agoDesert Goby, Skunk botias, Kuhli loaches or Julidochrimis?
Interested in these 3 as bottom to mid dwellers. If I choose Goby or Juli I would have a pair of Lamprologus O. as tankmates with sufficient rockwork and the shells placed a good distance from the rocks.
If I choose Skunks or Kuhlis I would need softer water, what would go good with them? A ram? Prefer no angels. Nothing that will outgrow a 30 breeder either.
1 AnswerFish7 years agoI read a interesting article about using 100% pure household ammonia for cycling?
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&so...
Based on how long winded it is I guess it does work.
It got me thinking, theoretically you could pee in your water to add ammonia too lols. I would never do either of these things but the more I think about it the more peeing in the water just a little sounds like it would work.
4 AnswersFish7 years agoWhats your favorite Cichlid? African or S. American?

6 AnswersFish7 years agoTicket in WA for expired TX tags?
So I have been in Washington state for a little while visiting and my registration expired while I was there. I parked my car downtown and when I came to get it later and found a ticket for it. I already bought a new car to take back to TX and am planning on selling this one in WA. I am seriously considering blowing it off, I know the ticket follows the owner but I'm not planning on being in Washington ever again, so I would be ok with a outstanding traffic warrant. I'm leaving in less than a month so I'm not concerned about this coming back to me before I'm gone. Would you pay this or blow it off?
2 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police7 years agoHow much would it cost to have a meter wired on a large property?
I'm looking at this large parcel that has a shop/trailer on it without power. It is quite far from the public road and utility, easily 5,000 feet or more. Am I looking at 10k+ to have electricity out there?

Asking about INSECTS, not arachnids, Chilopods or anything not strictly considered an insect.

4 AnswersMovies8 years agoHow to train a dog to keep out of an area?
We have a dog that just needs to chase critters, though thankfully knows about skunks now. We live on 30 acres but the house is only 150 feet from a busy 2 lane road with a high speed limit. The dog has free roam mostly because she is tries to dig through doors if confined and usually hangs out in the pasture or by the barn. She was a 9 year old at the pound and have had her for about a year. The chewing and digging at doors was very hard to stop so we just started experimenting with letting her run around and its going fine so far.
So how would we go about dissuading her from the front of the property? She doesn't like loud noises at all like thunder, air horns or fireworks. What if I just bought a few hundred black cats and set them off around the front regularly for a couple of weeks?
1 AnswerDogs8 years agoI have been dreaming about alligators for 25 years.?
I always end up very close to them. They never attack but I do feel nervous when they get so close. It's always the same, swampy water, me down on their level and very very close. Last night I think I got closer than ever before. I have had these dreams ever since I can remember. Reptiles are cool and I have kept quite a few species in my lifetime but seriously I dream about them ALL THE TIME what the hell!?
3 AnswersDream Interpretation8 years agoBuying land in the Sam Houston national forest?
So I see listings for really nice little houses or mobile homes on 3-8 acres for pretty cheap, even though there are also reasonable prices in the surrounding area bordering the forest. Are these parcels for sale free and clear? No land lease? Can I build without clearing trees? Do I need permission to clear trees or have any kind of structure like a fence, shed, barn. Can I dig a pond? Can I have a garden of non native species?
6 AnswersRenting & Real Estate8 years agoBest big lizard for this outdoor enclosure?
So I'm buying my first house with a bunch of land! Yayyy. I have always wanted a big lizard in a big outdoor pen. I thought just having tall slick walls about 4 feet tall instead of it being totally enclosed would be awesome and also cheaper so I could make it huge. Build the wall around a tree or 2 but well past the branch overhang. As well as a storage shed with a hog blanket for winter (Southeast TX mild winters). I also have a dog that chases coons and stuff so I don't think predators would be a problem.
So what would be the best candidate for this setup? I think a monitor would be too active and try to get out, well maybe the cape monitor or savanna since they are very terrestrial. Argentine Tegu? Don't know much about them, never met anyone who owned one. I am really leaning toward the Rock Iguanas or even a common Green, I could grow most of their food since I was already planning a garden among other projects. So anyone have thoughts? Is there a lizard I haven't thought about?
3 AnswersReptiles8 years agoWhy is it ok to defend yourself with a gun but more often than not illegal to defend with a bat, knife etc?
In alot of states especially ones with castle doctrines it is ok to shoot a guy if you believe your life is in danger but if all you have is a club or knife as a self defense weapon you go to jail.
