Yesterday I had my very back upper molar extracted. He had to break it into pieces and it took him a very long time. It was very deep he said. I could tell even my dentist was worried more then he should have been after telling me this. I could tell after he did it I could inhale air through it but havent done it since. This morning I woke up and tried to see if I could again very gently(almost no force) and I still can. I have a small dentist mirror and I look at the wound and my I can see much more of my bone then I could yesterday. It does not hurt yet but I am starting to feel it up to my eye. What should I do? Do I keep using gauze even after the bleeding has stopped? Do I keep my mouth shut so air doesn't get to it so it stays moist? I have rinsed with salt water because I don't want it to get infected.
