  • Good jogging path in New Orleans?

I am going to be in New Orleans for Mardi Gras. My hotel does not have a gym so I'm looking for a good jogging path.

  • Kikkoman Lemon Chicken?

I am looking for a recipe for Lemon Chicken that was on bottles of Kikkoman Soy Sauce. This was probably 5 or 6 years ago. I lost the label in a move and can't remember how to make it. I remember it involved dredging boneless chicken in flour. The sauce had lemon and soy sauce (obviously ha ha). It was super easy but I just haven't made it in a long time. Thanks.

  • Best Bar Burger in Chicago?

I will be traveling to Chicago in February, and I am always on the lookout for a good bar burger. Where can I find one downtown? We will be staying at the Palmer House. Is there any where near there? We previously tried the burgers at Hackney's Printers' Row (on Dearborn) after seeing it on the Food Network. Not so impressed with the Inside-Out Burger; definitely not worth $10. If they have really good fries or onion rings as well, even better.

  • Road trip: Seattle to LA?

Has anyone taken a road trip from Seattle to LA? My bf and I are thinking about doing this next spring. We live in MI and would fly into Seattle, rent a car, drive to LA and then fly home. What is a realistic time for this? We want to take the highway along the ocean to get the most scenic route. What are some must see places? I absolutely want to spend at least a couple of days in San Francisco.

  • Steakhouse downtown Chicago.?

In September my boyfriend and I are spending a long weekend in Chicago. We got a fantastic hotel room downtown (Palmer Hilton) at a ridiculously cheap rate (thanks priceline.com) and we want one really good dinner. As part of his Christmas present last year, his boss (the president of the company) said that during 2007 the employees could go out for a really nice dinner and expense it. Now there is pretty much no limit on what the dinner can cost cause his boss is loaded. So we are looking to go all out and have a great dinner together. What are your suggestions??? If they have scallops on the menu, even better.

  • Window Motor for 2000 Olds Alero?

My (power) window fell into the door. Again. When I went to the dealership to have it fixed the first time they said it would be over $500 to repair it (because the motor had to be replaced too). Yeah right!! I don't have $500 to spend on a 7 year old car with 125,000 miles on it. So they just propped the window up but I couldn't use it (passenger side). That was about $90. Then it fell again and they had to prop it up again. So now it has fallen for the third time and I'm done. Apparently the motor and the regulator used to be one part but now you have to buy the two parts separately...blah, blah, blah. This is my rambling point...I called a body shop and they will fix it (the motor and all) for $350 which includes taxes. Does anyone know if this is a good price or if what they say they are going to do is even needed? Thanks.

  • Bike rack for Alero.?

My boyfriend and I just bought some mountain bikes; well mine's a hybrid. When we were at the store last night getting his we told the salesperson we needed a bike rack. He looked up my car info., 2000 Olds Alero, and told us that since Aleros have plastic bumper they cannot hold the weight of the rack. Now this was at an actual bike shop, I know if I go to a place like Dick's Sporting Goods I can buy a rack no problem. Has anyone had this experience or put a rack on a car that is not supposed to have one? I appreciate the salesperson's honesty and he told me I could have a hitch welded onto my car and get a rack that way. A roof rack won't work w/my car either appartently (plus they are more expensive than my bike).

  • Hook up Tivo through Dish Network?

My apartment complex forced us to get Dish Network. I have had Tivo for about 2 years now and simply want to hook it up through the Dish Network receiver. So I ordered the serial cable from Tivo. Of course, the end that is supposed to go into to the Dish Network receiver is not right (the prong piece with the wires, not the single input side). Is the only other way to use the Tivo IR setup (which I heard is super slow). I just want to use all of my fabulous Tivo features while changing the channel on the satellite. (oh and please don't tell me to get a Dish Network DVR, it is NOT the same; you would understand if you had Tivo).

  • Student Loan Interest Rate?

What is considered a good interest rate for a student loan? I currently have two sets of loans; one is at 7.1% and the other is at 7.9%. I was told if I consolidate the rate would be fixed at 7.4%. It this good? Thanks.

  • New Secret 'Prescription Strength' Deodorant?

Has anyone tried the new deordorant from Secret? It's supposed to be prescription strength and keep you dry as a bone. I'm wondering if it works or if it is just another outlandish claim from a company.

  • How does Closed Captioning work?

Obviously for live TV they have to have someone watching it and typing what they hear. But for repeats or movies do they watch it beforehand and type it out and then just play the stored information? I really can't tell. Sometimes you can see them type and then delete. And ohhh the spelling errors.

  • Detroit Buyer's Market? How do I get a starter home??

So, I live in Metro Detroit. Houses are for sale all over the place due the auto industry. I have been renting since I graduated college. The cost of living here is pretty high so I don't have much in the way of savings. Obviously I'm throwing my money away on rent and I'm tired of it. I want a bigger place and a yard. You know...the American Dream. Is it really possible to buy a small starter home with little or no money down? And how do you deal with property taxes? Do you know in advance how much they are, can you do payment plans, can you tie the taxes into your monthly mortgage payments? I think it's time for me to become a 'real' adult.

  • Breaded Pork Tenderloin?

As a native Hoosier I grew up eating breaded pork tenderloins..you know the ones that are as big as your head and 3 times the size of the bun. Very popular at the State Fair! I have since moved to MI and have realized that the only place you can get these gems are in Indiana. WTF? I would like to try to make them or even better, if anyone knows of a place in metro Detroit where you can get them that would be great.
