If you haven't served, don't bother answering. I joined the Marine Corps in 2011 fresh out of high school, i loved the corps, but hated all the BS, field day, duty, inspections, etc. i was always good at it, was up for several meritorious boards for cpl and sgt, and ended up leaving the corps as an E-4. I thought the civilian world was going to be amazing... Not really, I was fortunate to find an awesome job where I can make six figures within 5 years. But ever since i got out, it's all i think about. And i go through phases - i wanna go back in, or never again. But since november I've been wanting to get back into it. I miss it so bad. I miss my friends having the same days off as me, the comoradarie, the structure, pretty much everything.. Except field day and duty. Lol. And this time around I'd likely be sergeant within a year or 2, so I'm sure it'll take a lot of the BS away. I also never got the oppurtunity to deploy, but it's looking like I can get a shot at Iraq if I go back.. What do you think?

Ok so i grew up loving the military and fighting and stuff. I love the outdoors, guns, girls etc, i just have all the same likes as the average man's man. I wrestled from 4th grade through 11th grade, played hockey in 12th grade, joined the Marine Corps after high school, became a black belt in the MCMAP program, got into some jiu jitsu, and now I'm a corrections officer. I've won some fights, I've lost some fights. I've pulled guns on intruders, i get out of bed when i hear a noise, investigate before calling the cops. The thing is; >>>I've ALWAYS been scared<<< of pretty much everything I've done. Wrestling (i had a decent record in high school, 2x as many wins as losses) I got beat up for the first time in 8th grade, the last fight I won was 2 years into the Marine Corps, 1 knee to the sternum finished that one...) I have been in confrontations that I completely looked like a punk in, i try to avoid every fight that is offered to me. I was scared to join the Marines, scared to deploy, and now I'm scared of the inmates. But I've always just done it anyways, it's not that i push through fear, i more so leave myself with no other options but to fight through, or serious punishment, injury, or death will occur. Am I less of a man for being scared? Are you guys scared of these types of situations?

Ok, so I don't mean to give off a sob story here, but i'm stuck. I recently was honorably discharged from the US marine corps, im 21 y/o, have a wife and baby, and 2 dogs. I am a full time student & work as much as i can. (I put in between 62-70 hours a week between school/homework and work. On my only day off, my wife works so i have to watch the baby. Which leaves my homework to be crammed in from when she falls asleep to however much sleep i can afford to lose. Usually 9pm to 2-4am. I can't keep up woth my bills, im about 300 short right now. Im 29,000 in debt and between me and my wife we're making about 1000-1200 a month. My bills are at 980 a month.. I am so stressed out i cant get sleep, i cant focus in college. The more i work, the further behind in college i get, but the further ahead i get in school, the less money i make. I'm just lost. I have no idea what to do... Sorry for the long rant (and bad quality of the question, im typing on my phone...) any help? Suggestions... Ideas? Anything...?

Abdominal Pain, shot up to lower ribs?

Hello, i'm a 21 y.o.. male, last night i was drinking, & smoking (i know its bad), like i tend to do every friday night. well i woke up this morning to a faint abdominal pain, left side, right side, and middle pretty much horizontal with my belly button. but affected a huge area. the only way i can describe the pain is SORTA like a completely empty stomach, but far more intense. after that went on for about 45 min, it shot up into the lower portion of both ribs. i called a friend to take me to the hospital, but right when they show up, it went away, so i did not go. now, about 9 hours later im feeling the pain in my lower ribs again. (the empty stomach feeling is on my ribs as well) yes, i ate, no it is not actually an empty stomach, it sorta feels that way. but when it was its most intense, i could barely breathe, walk, talk, whatever. Any idea what this could be? it isnt tender to the touch, and i cant make it go away with heat or ice. its a very strange pain that i've never felt before

im 20 years old, married, month old daughter. im just about $30,000 in debt. long stoey as short as i can make it; got a car, got ripped off on interest, andcrashed it, had to sell it and lost $6,000 on it. then i had to pay $2000 to move across country in a day (military) bought a truck for $5000, engine and tranny went bad. traded it in for a car with a warranty, lost $4,000 on it. bought the car for $15,000 with a warranty on everything. the other $2000 was credit card pile up. so i wasnt necissarily irresponsible with my money, more.. ignorant. anyways, im supposed to open a business for about $20,000 next year and i dont want to be $50,000 in debt. is there ANYTHING i can do. i only make $18,000 a year and my wife doesnt work... i seriously need help.

i plan on veerping the 8th of september 2014. ive heard that your direct chain of command is normally against it (at least mine is) what do i do if they hold off on routing it to the head shed? who can deny it? do you lose any benefits? ive read the maradmin 4 times and cant find an answer to these questions (maradmin 662/13). i want to get out go home and activate my gi bill. and advice will be appreciated. thank you. kill.

i've lost interest in my wife. we've only been married about a year and we have 1 kid. she annoys me, i feel like she doesnt try. no job, no school, and barely cleans. she does cook. but most of the house is usually dirty. i work 10-12 hours a day. on top of that, we havent had sex since the first month we moved in together. im afraid of what my parents and family will think of me if i left her and i sure as hell dont want to lose my child. i feel like im stuck in a rut. i wanna work it out, but im even losing physical attraction to her. please give me advice

since she moved in, 9 months ago;

she RARELY cleans up by herself, i help 90% of the time, and do most of the cleaning might i add. i help with dinner/cook dinner myself id say 75% of the time

we have no sex life. i have had sex 3 times in the past 5 months. she forgets to feed our 2 dogs at work, we have one car, and shopping takes priority of me getting school started. im in the military and i work 5am to 5pm. i make 18,000 a year and we are 25000 in debt. i want her to get a job, but if she isnt working or going to school i expect her to cook and clean. instead she goes out with friends, plays on the computer or watches netflix all day. she gets mad when i say she should cook/clean daily, because "shes not a housewife" but by definition, she is in fact a house wife. am i wrong for this? or is she being selfish. opinions please

Ok so im currently enlisted in the marine corps as a 6541 aviation ordnanceman, its almost time to submit a re enlistment package, im a tier 1 marines, 286 pft 300 cft, expert range (309) intermediate swim qual(going for advanced next month, brown belt mcmap (soon to be black). i originally enlisted to be a combat engineer 1371 but they moved me to ordnance cause of my asvab score, whatever. i want a job where i can see combat, but have other trades, i.e. combat engineer, military police. any other suggestions, special forces are an option for me. im not really big though, 5'6" 150 lbs

I have a 1998 Black F150, 4.2L V6 engine. It has an EXTREMELY ROUGH IDLE. intense vibrations, intense sputtering, the truck won't go over 5mph. The check engine code reads p0301, cylinder 1 misfire. I replaced the spark plug on cylinder 1, and cylinder 3. (i was pulling wires to see if there was any change in idle, 1 and 3 were the only ones that didn't make the idle worse) anyways, i figured it might be the coil pack. so i replaced the coil pack. Nothing. no improvements. I want to avoid spending money on this, i cant afford to take it to a shop or to keep buying parts that i dont need. does anyone know what it could be?

in the past 2 months i replaced the spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel pump, fixed 4 vaccum leaks, fuel filter, and air filter. in the past 24 hours i replaced the spark plug on cylinder 1, 3 and a new coil pack.

me and her are both 20. our parents werent too happy with us marrying so young, but my dad told me to make him one promise; no kids until im done with college (im in the military, just starting college) well my wife is now 12 weeks pregnant and im on leave at home with my parents, she has told hers already but im not sure how to tell mine because of what my dad said.... any suggestions?

i have a vaccum leak in that line. i cant find the size for the line though, how can i find out? im at orielly auto parts right now and they dont know

i have a vaccum leak. its obvious, the sound it makes. the problem its causing is my truck idles funny, kinda throbs, say it idles at 1,000 rpm(for explanational purposes only) it will drop down to 500, then go up to 1,000. it does this everytime i idle. it has stalled out on me twice. i know the vaccum is behind the engine, towards the middle (maybe favors the passenger side a tiny bit) how can i pinpoint the exact vaccum, i need to know exactly what size vaccum i need. thank you

my paycheck just isnt enough. we are stationed in yuma arizona (the city with the highest unemployment rate in the US) so my wife cant get a job. even if she could, she's pregnant so it would be hard for her regardless. im in debt $13,000 and still have my bills to pay. im not even living pay check to pay check. im at the point where im paying bills with a credit card. my truck is going to sh!it ive already spent $300 doing work myself trying to fix it and i still have to spend at least another $300 to fix the problem. i run out of food before i get paid and we end up eating cereal or ramen noodles for dinner. im running out of options. does anybody have any suggestions or what i can do or how i can make more money? all this stress is tearing me apart i dont know what else to turn to. i need help. we manage our money okay with what we get but when its said and done, with my bills, i make maybe 60 bucks a pay check and end up going -$500 before i use my credit card
