I think I want to try bartending to make a living for now, since I hate 9-5's. But I'm worried that it might not be that safe. Do women on the job get harassed a lot? Are they safe at night when they walk to their cars after their shift is done? I'm in the Northern VA, D.C. area...any thoughts?

There's way too much info on this topic on the internet. Does anyone know of a good herbal recipe that works? I would really like to start cleansing my body, but I can't seem to find the right ingredients. If anyone has a remedy that works for them, please share....lol Thank you!! :)

I mean, pay rent up to $1000 plus electric, cable, food, cell phone, leisure expenses, etc. I was asking because I'm going to bartending school and I want to make a living off of it and get another apartment. I lost mine due to the economy and haven't had another job since. I want to know why guys just stare but never approach me. Even though I smile at the guys I'm interested in and show that i'm interested, all they do is smile in a weird but cute shy kind of way and then they just keep staring, which gets awkward. I thought after the girl gives a signal that she's interested the guy comes up? Am I doing something wrong? It's happening ALL the time now. Can some of you guys give me real answers as to what is happening with men not approaching women anymore? What can I do to make it easier for the guys I'm interested in to approach me? without being intimidated by me. Please be serious and mature, thanks.

So I'm 28 and recently moved in with my mother and grandmother, because I was laid off. I had a really nice apartment and a good job (had), and my mom would be jealous of that because I was independent, and she never was. My mother has been jealous of me in the past as well with my physical appearance. She would always compliment my body and say that I'm beautiful which is sweet, but she stares with hate a few moments later. It's really weird I can't describe it. She gives me these hateful looks and I ALWAYS catch her staring at my body, always, it makes me feel uncomfortable. While living here I experience her ignoring me, cutting me off when I speak, and just being mean and confrontational. It's like she wants to be mean to me and make me feel bad. She also talks about me to my grandmother; you know that feeling when you walk in a room and feel as if someone just got done talking crap about you, that feeling! It sucks because she's my mom and not some random woman I don't care about. My mother isn't fat but she is chunky and never works out. I tell her to work out with me but she never comes along. When I tell her how she makes me feel she gets aggressive and says it's my imagination. What should I do, I live with her for now and I am looking for a job so please don't say find a job, I know that already. :) Any suggestions about living with her, please be serious...
