I'm looking around for a decent pocketknife to have for emergencies or when I just need a blade. I live in the Los Angeles area in California, and I believe the law states that the blade cannot be more than 2"-4", I still need to research that. As for the price, I'll just say I don't want to buy a top-notch knife, just a decent one for a decent price.

Was I supposed to be given a receipt for the towing or no?

If not, do I get a record of it by any chance?

When the "..." appears, obviously it means the person is typing something, but what if I stop typing for a while? Or I type something out and then delete part of it? Does it disappear then, or does it only disappear when the box that I type in is completely empty?

Just something I've always been curious about.

I recently bought myself a MacBook Pro (my first Mac) and I'd really like to keep it as "new" as possible. What I mean is that for every other laptop I've had, within the first year or two, it would slow down tremendously, like when I open an application, it would take a long time to launch.

There are quite a bit of programs and games that I'd really like to install, but I want to know if it will slow down the processor speed. To give you an idea, here are a few: Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and the Sims 3 (if I get around 5 expansions, will it also slow it down considerably?).

Here are the specifics of my MacBook:

13-in. MacBook Pro

Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory: 4GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Version 10.8.2

Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 512 MB

I also currently have about 350 GB of free space out of my total 500 GB

Also is there anything I can do if it would slow down my Macbook to speed it up a bit?

This is for a research paper for my college English class, and we can write about any specific topic. It's important for me to research something that I am interested in myself, and in some ways feel strongly about. We also have to present the topic to the class and argue a point, so I'd like something that would interest the class and not bore them. Are these appropriate, and which one should I choose? Any and all feedback is appreciated.

1. Instagram & photography (or just Instagram or photography?): How the popular social app Instagram is changing what photography means to photographers and others.

2. Copyright: How far is too far? People using others' creative property (music, video footage, etc.) for nonprofit reasons.

3. Indie (Independent) films vs. Hollywood blockbuster films

4. How important is product design? (I think this would be interesting as there are many cool designs and things to show, the process, etc.)

I am planning on interning abroad in the film industry, but am conflicted in deciding whether to go to England or Italy.

In my opinion, I thought England would be better because their films are and have been popular in America also (Sherlock, the 2012 Les Miserables, The Dark Knight Rises, Game of Thrones...). Italy, however, is more known for their older films, and I feel as if their film industry isn't as developed (I may be wrong), though I've always wanted to visit Italy with a passion.

If there is any information you can provide about these countries, I'd very much appreciate it. Even the smallest details can help. Thanks.

On my MacBook, if I select a word from anywhere (ie. website) and click on it with the trackpad with three fingers, there appears a small pop-up that shows the word's definition and synonyms. It works on the Pages application, but it doesn't seem to work in Microsoft Word. Is there anything I can do to enable this feature? I know that you can right-click it and choose look-up or synonyms, but the pop-up is much easier and quicker.

FinalCut (from time to time)

I also tend to have a lot of tabs open for the internet, not sure if that has anything to do with the processor, though.

I've only started a few weeks ago at Kohl's, and I've been assigned to the registers on Black Friday (8am-4pm). Any tips or words of advice? I'd truly appreciate it.

Also, if anyone's worked at Kohl's, what should I do if a customer has a question that I can't answer? What should I say/call over the paging system?

I had a sudden epiphany while I was driving, an idea for a project that I'm working on, but I can't remember what it was about at all. Normally I would've written it down somewhere, but I couldn't since I was driving. It's extremely frustrating, and this happens to me often, no matter how much I try to tell myself to remember a certain idea.

Is there any way I can get the idea back? Any tips or hints?

And I tried Googling this, but nothing came up, partly because I had no idea what to search for. Is there a name for when this happens?

A while ago I signed up to sell things on Amazon but I just ended up not doing it for certain reasons. Earlier I got an email saying that Amazon charged my card for $39.99, and I had no idea what it was for. It told me to go on the Seller's Account to see the information and none of it makes sense to me.

Could someone please explain why I've been charged $39.99?

After waking up from passing out for a minute from an injury or wound that caused immense pain, is it shock that causes one to be "high"? Or what else is it called?

If more clarification is needed, please ask and I'll add more information.

Just under the armpit on the side of the body, at the same level of where the chest/pectorals are. Would it be the ribs?
