  • Just a simple question for my fellow Democrats?

I am just wondering why none of you are screaming about diebold voting machines and how they are magically controlled and programmed to let Republicans win the election?

Perhaps now you all understand that they weren't rigged to start with? I tested them when they first came out and we have been using them since then. I test them before every election and not once have I seen any proof that they do anything other than what they are supposed to.

  • Now if Obama was right?

Why is it that everyone is telling him that to help the economy recover you have to either leave taxes on the wealthy where they are or reduce them to help speed up the recovery.

  • Now that Obama is president elect?

Can we finally have a serious debate about reparations for slavery? Most of the time Republicans just screech about race wars and the south rising again if it happens.

  • Should GM, Ford and Chrysler boot the unions?

Would it be better if they told the unions that they either take a 65% cut in pay and health care benefits for actively working members only or see all those jobs disappear?

  • Should the US normalize relations with Cuba?

Given the fact that Republicans are now out of power. Should we normalize relations with Cuba? I personally think we should, but thats because I like Cuban cigars

Every proposition for a ban on gay marriage passed. Florida, Arizona and California. I sort of feel sad for a few friends of mine that live in LA

  • Do Obama supporters not understand the situation?

This is the long and short of it:

Obama claims he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4, 1961 and it is uncertain in which hospital he claims to have been born. Obama’s grandmother on his father’s side, his half-brother and half-sister all claim Obama was born not in Hawaii but in Kenya. Obama’s mother traveled to Kenya during her pregnancy; however, she was prevented from boarding a flight from Kenya to Hawaii at her late stage of pregnancy which, apparently, was a normal restriction, to avoid births during a flight.

Stanley Ann Dunham Obama gave birth to Obama in Kenya, after which she flew home and registered Obama’s birth. There are records of a “registry of birth” for Obama, on or about August 8, 1961 in the public records office in Hawaii. However a registry of birth does not confer citizenship to a child.

This is a serious issue and its not even the least of the problems.

Even if Obama was, in fact, born in Hawaii, he lost his U.S. citizenship when his mother re-married and moved to Indonesia with her Indonesian husband. In 1966, when Obama was approximately five years old, his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, married Lolo Soetoro, a citizen of Indonesia, whom she had met at the Hawaii University, and moved to Indonesia with Obama.

Obama lost his U.S. citizenship, when his mother married Lolo Soetoro, and took up residency in Indonesia. Loss of citizenship, in these circumstances, under U.S. law (as in effect in 1967) required that foreign citizenship be achieved through “application.” Such type of naturalization occurred, for example, when a person acquired a foreign nationality by marriage to a national of that country. Nationality Act of 1940, Section 317(b). A minor child follows the naturalization and citizenship status of their custodial parent. A further issue is presented that Obama’s Indonesian stepfather, Lolo Soetoro, either signed an acknowledgement acknowledging Obama as his son or Lolo Soetoro adopted Obama, giving Obama natural Indonesia citizenship

Obama admits in his book, “Dreams from my father” Obama’s memoir (autobiography), that after his mother and Lolo Soetoro were married, Lolo Soetoro left Hawaii rather suddenly and Obama and his mother spent months in preparation for their move to Indonesia. Obama admits when he arrived in Indonesia he had already been enrolled in an Indonesia school and his relatives were waiting to meet him and his mother. Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian State citizen, could not have enrolled Obama in school unless Lolo Soetoro signed an acknowledgement acknowledging Obama as his son, which had to be filed with the Government. Under Indonesian

law, when a male acknowledges a child as his son, it deems the son, in this case Obama, as an Indonesian State citizen.

At that point Obam's name was changed to Barry Soetoro and there are documents that show him registered in school under that name. Its at this point, that Obama completely lost his chance to become president of the United States of America. Because even if he regained US citizenship (and there isn't proof that he did) he would be considered a NATURALIZED citizen and not a natural born citizen.

  • OBAMA supporters, what will you do if?

What will you do if Obama is found to not be a US natural born citizen? The lawsuit filed against him, the DNC and FEC could very well prove that he isn't. What will you do? Will you think its a trick brought about by Republicans? If so you would be wrong. The Republicans have refused to touch the issue.

The man that filed the lawsuit is life long Democrat Phil Berg. He has said many times that all Obama has to do is provide his original birth certificate and he will withdraw the lawsuit. Instead Obama and the DNC have tried everything they can think of to keep this lawsuit from going forward.

McCain provided all of his documents and medical records. He provided his financial records, college transcripts and military record.

What are Obama and the DNC hiding that they refuse to provide the same level of disclosure?

  • What was the most important issues discussed?

What was the most important issues discussed in tonight debate? Personally I thought that energy policy was the most important. Both now agree that we have to drill for and access the estimates 30 billion barrels of oil that the US has in proven reserve. With another 2.5 trillion barrels in oil shale. Both agreed that we need to build many more nuclear power plants. Both agreed on funding for more research into solar, wind, electric and hydrogen. Basically its the same comments.

After that, I found the question about Israel to be most enlightening. McCain answered without hesitation saying that yes, we would send troops to support Israel. Obama sort of danced around it and ended by saying that the military option wouldn't be taken off the table. Thats not an answer, its a step around the answer.

  • If the courts determine that Obama is not eligible to hold the office of president?

Assuming the courts find that he is not a citizen eligible to hold the office of president. How do they solve the problem of the nomination?

Will Biden then become the nominee, or do they hold a special election to nominate someone else?

  • Would you support this new tax?

Would you support a 2% national sales tax if the monies gained from that tax were used only for paying down the national debt, and if the tax was ended as soon as that debt went below $1 trillion?

  • Do people not understand the bailout?

It's obvious that many people on here don't understand the bailout. We aren't bailing out fat cats at the top of these companies. We are however trying to save your retirement accounts, your jobs and small businesses.

Those are the things that will fail if the bailout doesn't pass.

  • Obama was ACORNs lawyer?

Now ACORN is under investigation for massive voter fraud. According to interviews he represnted them and taught them how to register voters. So why are they under investigation for hundreds of cases of voter fraud? They even registered people as young as 14 ROFL!!

  • Why did Obama vote present again?

His lack of action and indecisiveness on the bailout is another present vote on his part. He isn't acting like a president, he is acting like a first term senator.

  • Does Obama not have a solution for the current economic problem?

I noticed that McCain offered a plan to help solve the problem, but the only thing I have seen from Obama is him talking about how the problem was caused by McCain.

I am seriously starting to doubt that Obama actually has a plan at all.

  • Which side do you come down on?

Do you think that the US should spend most of its time trying to prevent local terrorist attacks by focusing on the US muslim community?

    -or-

Do you think that focusing on the muslim community within the US is a violation of that communities rights, we shouldn't worry them, and only focus on those sources outside of the country?

  • Why oh why is my party doing this again?

Why don't the elected members of the Democrat party understand that while none of us like the idea of drilling, we have to do it in order to bring down the cost of fuel. The high price of gas is contributing to our economic crisis.

  • Are you Obama supporters running scared?

I noticed that you've gone down to the point of complaining about mundane things like her having lunch and dinner paid for by the state. I mean, god forbid that the governor of the state actually do anything aside from sit at the capital!

Desperation is a terrible thing, especially when you thought you were going to be winning at this point.
