I am 26 years old, and trying to break into the tattoo industry. I am currently under apprenticeship (for free, because I provide my own supplies and equipment- and the shop owner is a relative of mine) at a genuine tattoo shop.

The owner (a.k.a. the one who is training me), has been a professional tattoo artist for the past six years (not including their own apprenticeship). They have just recently opened their own shop in my area last year, which was immediately booked solid through April of this year and gaining popularity. They have all of the proper training, equipment, documentation, and business licenses as well as insurance, BBP certification and C.P.R. certification. In my state, there is no law requiring a tattoo license, though they do have an updated license from when they trained/worked in another state (updated to include this county/state).

All that my state/county requires is that every artist be certified for Blood Borne Pathogens and C.P.R.. They do not have to take classes to become a licensed tattoo artist (at least not yet, anyway- the state is working on changing that as we speak).

Taking all of this into consideration, why would the tattoo shop that I've been a patron of for years not take me seriously now? I told them of my apprenticeship, and asked them if I could work in their shop after my apprenticeship and five years shop experience (required by their standards, not the state) was over. They laughed in my face and called me a kitchen wizard. Now I can't even patron their shop anymore because of it and I want to know why. What did I do wrong, exactly? Is it just because they are "clique-y" like most other shops and too stuck up or "elite" to accept competition? They're apprenticing two people at the moment, so I know it isn't the amateur status. Why were they so mean?

And what the HECK does kitchen wizard mean? I've heard the term 'scratcher' or 'digger' before, but I am neither of those things now. I have training, though I'm still an Apprentice. So what's the deal?

Alright, so I have the best finished work possible in my portfolio and a tattoo shop near me that has a high reputation, always does amazing work, and has never once been spoken of negatively. They are only a few years old in this area and are already opening a third shop. They've done tattoos on myself, my friends, and even my fiancee'. They also take donated flash as well as pay for the really good stuff. I've also paid to take classes in not only traditional drawing/painting, photography, and art history as well as digital art and logo creation/advertising. So I'm pretty well rounded with what the world is looking for and the demographics aspect of any job.

I've read several tattoo books, and have a pretty good idea of what to say and how to act. My question is, while doing the initial informative interview, would it be considered a good or bad thing if I write down all of the important information on a small note pad (making sure to ask first if it is alright that I take notes). Will this show them that I am more serious about learning and retaining what they tell me, or will it look amateur as though I can't remember it myself?

Just curious! I want to make sure I give the best possible first impression in a professional setting (as they've already had me as a client). The tattoo business is NOT easy to break into by any means, and I don't want to ruin my chances before I get my foot in the door. Also, I'm female, and the majority of the people in the shop I want to apprentice in are female as well- will this hinder or help my chances, do you think? Thanks in advance!

Ok, so let me start off by saying that this use to work! Whenever I wanted to hook up my eMachine computer to my Samsung HDTV, all I would do is take the monitor cable (the one with two tiny screws in it) from my monitor and hook it up to my tv in the corresponding port. The same with the audio feed. This worked perfectly every time.

Well, it's been a while since I've done this, and I just went to do it today and something went wrong. I hooked up all the proper cables (the same as I use to), and booted up my computer. I had my TV turned to the PC mode, and watched as my computer's loading information was shown on my TV... Normal, going according to plan.

Then all of the sudden, right before the sign in screen appears to sign into my desktop (which it always has done, so I know that isn't the problem), the screen goes black and I see a box pop up that says "Signal is not compatible". I'm not sure why, as this is how I've always hooked up my computer to my TV. I was told it could be the resolution settings, as they may have changed, so I tried every setting available on my computer with the same, error-ridden results. Why did it stop working so suddenly?

And is it true that I can, instead, use an HDMI cable (provided my computer has the proper hookup for it) and bypass this problem? Please help!

Ok, so my question for you all is... How the heck did Doyle survive the fire?

You remember when Angela, Noah, Claire, Sylar, Doyle, and like six other specials were in the Primatech building and Claire's mom got shot up with adrenaline and it made her power spin out of control?

Well, when they pan through everyone who was killed by Sylar in the building right before Claire, Angela and Noah escape (just before the building goes up into flames) they show Doyle laying on the ground, eyes open, not breathing, blood everywhere- dead.

Now, I can assume that Sylar escaped because the glass either fell out or melted enough to fall out and let him start healing again. After all, Adam blew up and survived. But that's not the point.

How did Doyle survive? Sylar wouldn't have saved him at that point, since the agent Sylar delivered him to wasn't in the picture yet, and at the time Sylar had no precog abilities so... How, how, HOW did Doyle survive the fire???

Alright, so here's the deal. I've been a member of IMVU for a long time now (around 5 years) and I've never, ever had any problems with the chat client (the messenger that you download off the website).

Well, low and behold, here is the problem-

I can sign onto the website perfectly fine by entering my avatar name and password. It opens the site, and everything is cool- I'm logged into it right now, actually.

The problem comes in when I open up the chat client and try to sign on. I enter my avatar name and password, the same as the website, and instead of signing me into the client and bringing up that 3D page with the chat, dress up, and other options, I see THIS:

"The IMVU avatar name and password combination you entered was rejected by the server. Please Try Again. <Fault:31 "host AF001633.prod.imvu.com db:customer_2008031801_clientsession Can't Open File: 'clientsession_system_info.MYI' (errno:145)">"

I've searched Google, Yahoo, and pretty much every other site... And I still can't find an actual first release date for Sirius Satellite Radio. What I'm looking for is the year of the first time it was released to the public for purchase.

I love the album, as well as all of his solo stuff. It's hilarious, and I think he could blow the industry wide open. My favorite tracks are So Hard and Fatboy, the two featured on his website bizarresworld.com.

Alright, let me break it down for you.

I haven't spoken to my father in two years. There's no real reason, we just sort of lost touch. He's always been flaky, and our relationship, though there's no animosity, has always been touch and go. Sometimes we talk and hang out, others we don't talk at all. That's just us. And for the past two years, my life was going very well, and I was actually moving on from the whole scene.

Well, Saturday night I get a phone call. It's my father, crying and drunk, saying that he and his wife are splitting up (more than likely for good, which means a divorce in the making) and she kicked him out. I didn't know what to do, so I told him to come stay at my house. The problem is, I'm not sure if that's the best idea in the world. I want to help him, to be the example, you know? I don't want to leave him out on the streets, even if he wasn't really there for me as a child. I mean, if I do, I'm no better than he was right?

So, he's been with us since Saturday night, and it's just so stressful. He has an income, and we're short on money so it would help, but I don't know if this is the best route. He's been cleaning without me asking to, which is usually a good thing except I prefer to clean my own things myself. He makes comments when I leave a dish sit too long, or when I don't take out the trash right away, and is trying to add all this extra stuff to my computer that I don't want, but I'm not sure how to tell him not to.

I don't want him to leave, because he's my dad and I don't want to hurt him, but I'm afraid this will really hurt my fiance' and I emotionally... So I guess deep down I don't think it's fair that I should have to take care of him, when in reality he never really took care of me. I know he feels badly about the past, but at the same time, I'm 23 now! I'm too old for these father/daughter games, and if he screws me over or something, I'm not sure I could take it.

Not to mention he didn't tell us how long he'd be there or anything.

And worst of all, when I was reading aloud from the newspaper about appartments and whatnot last night, just to maybe hint at him to get his own place soon, since he has an income, he asked us if WE were moving. I was like, "Umm... no." But I didn't know what to say. Ugh!

Any suggestions, comments, concerns? What should I do? I want to help, but I'm afraid of letting him stay with me. Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

I'm doing a search for Video Cards (cheap, yet good quality) and I found a website called www.newegg.com. The problem is, though they put a Specifications tab in their site for each V.C. product, and though their prices are low enough (and the Specs are pretty good, I might add)... I can't seem to find anything about the number of Pipelines (shaders) for each Video Card. Why is that? Can anyone help me figure it out? Are they called something else on the website?

Seriously, how interesting is that? The ability to erase human memories by isolating a single 'strand' of a certain memory (good or bad) by using ZIP (Zeta-Inhibitory Peptide) to de-activate the PKMzeta (the chemical that starts the construction of a memory in the synapse).

I suppose we all enjoy movies like that, and to know that it could cure PTSD, rape survivors, and the mentally ill... That's all good and well. But what's your opinion? Will it stop there, or is there more to this 'memory reconstruction'? Who here trusts that the government will not use this in the future for any reason? Does the idea of someone being able to synthetically erase a memory (or even make them stronger and more defined, by adding more PKMzeta receptors in the synapse) frighten you? Tell me your opinions on the topic- this article was one of the most interesting I've read so far.

Does anyone know where to find, download, or even buy this walkthrough? I've played almost the entire game without one, and I'm doing fairly well (it's Zelda after all), but I've come to a place I can't get past. The problem is, I'm suppose to open a door. It's telling me that only a certain person or object can do it. Well, I have said ability/object, and the door still won't open! If anyone out there has a complete walkthrough (the only ones I've been able to locate are in pieces), I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Ok, so after you get the Pictobox (when you free Tingle in the jail cell and crawl behind it) there's a few things you can do around Windfall that have to do with taking pictures. I've already taken some for everyone else, and I've even gotten my Deluxe Pictobox. What I can't figure out is the guy who's sitting on the steps outside durring the day, all miserable and mopey. He's the same guy who teaches you about the constellations at night in Windfall. He tells you to take a picture of "the first perfectly round, pale thing" we can think of. We've taken pictures of doorknobs, the moon, and the sun, and we still can't get it right. No matter what we show him, he says that it's wrong. Does anyone out there know what we have to take a picture of so that he approves of it??? Thanks in advance!!

I think I understand the general idea of this... In order to unlock the Paradox's, I need to max out ALL of my Drives, which includes Final Form.

When it's unlocked, there are several parts, but all in all there are about 50 levels like in KH. Only I read online that you can't use any items or cure magic. That you can only use very very weak weapons, and that you can't use Drives, Summons, or anything durring the Paradox.

Is all that true? Oh, also, I read that the Goddess Of Destiny and the Goddess Of Fate are the same cup? But I've already done the Fate Cup and won, but the Destiny Cup says that it Unlocks after you beat the game? I'm so confused, haha.

PS- What does everyone think about the American name for KH3 (Re:Chain Of Memories)? I think they should have stuck with The Keyblade Wars (as I saw it on the original Japanese release game cover for PS3).

Okay, so earlier today my cell phone was fine. I just picked it up and pressed send to see my All Calls list. Instead of showing my record of calls, it shows ONE NUMBER over and over again (at least twenty times), and the date/time log says "Sun, October 22, 6:13am". Which, as you know, isn't possible (yesterday was the 22nd). Not only that, but when I clear out and go back in, the number is either still there, or there's another number with the exact same scenario.

This happens with EVERY single call list. Recent, Dialed, Received, Missed, everything. Also, it will not let me erase the call lists. It says "Failed To Erase". On top of all that, when I view the info on the calls, it says: "285,697 hours, 47 minutes, 23 seconds." For every call.

So I turned my phone off, took the battery out, and put it back in. Turned my phone back on, and now like magic everything is normal again. Has anyone else ever had this happen to their phone? Or at least know why? The only other person I've asked told me that it's "a glitch in the Matrix", which was less than unhelpful.

Keep in mind, this case is for my games, NOT my DS system. I already have a case that holds my DS system, three games, and one spare stylus...But I have about 12 DS games, and about five GBA games that I take with me everywhere because I play them all the time.

I found a DS Game Case on Overstock that can hold 6 DS Games, 2 GBA games, and 2 spare stylus pens for about 15 bucks.

I wanted to know if this was a good buy, or if I can find another case online that holds more games for around the same price, if not a little more expensive? Links to the sites would be helpful, if you can.

Ok. I have the National Dex. And as of three days ago, every 24 hours I would go save the game, then go into the Mansion and talk to the dude, and he would tell me which Pokemon was in the garden that day. If I didn't like it, I would quit the game then restart until he gave me one I liked.

No biggie, right? Well about three days ago, I walked into the mansion and talked to him. He said that he had Meowth in his garden. I already had one (the evolved form, Persian) but my friend didn't, so I went in and caught her one.

Again, no biggie. I played the game, saved, then went to bed. The next day I went back to the garden, and all he said was,

"I swear! No lies ever pass these lips! There really are cute Meowth in my garden!"

I thought that maybe it was because 24 hours hadn't passed, so I waited and tried again. Well, I've gone into that mansion at least 15 times in the past three days, and that's all he'll say now. He won't switch over to the next Pokemon.

What happened?

Alright, so what I know so far is that Ditto has no gender, which means it will not breed with any Legendary pokemon (because they, too, have no gender) I also know that if they like playing with other Pokemon rather than with eachother, they most likely will not breed.

My question is, what gender do Ditto's breed with the best? I've already traded with my friend Dany and gotten five eggs, each of which came from a Ditto and a normal Pokemon. She didn't tell me what gender the other pokemon were, so now that I've got some Dittos, I'm not sure if I should use Male or Female pokemon.

The main reason I'm concerned is because I want to breed my Eevee's with my Dittos so that I can have all seven of Eevee's forms. Problem is, ALL of my Eevee's are Male. Now, the second question is- where, if possible, can I find Female Eevee's (if I need Females to breed with the Dittos)?

I have Diamond, Pearl, Leafgreen, Firered, Emerald, and Sapphire so far. Getting Ruby in a week. Thanks!!!

Ok, so... Everything is going fine in Free mode. But as soon as I start a Campaigne mode, things start to go bad. I do everything I'm suppose to do, which is set the prices (low to start) and build my exibits, decorate, all that... So why does it keep telling me my scenario has failed? No matter what I do, every time, it fails and I have to start over from scratch again.

Does anyone out there know how to complete the Campaigne mode without it failing on me? Has anyone even ever beaten that mode before? If so, I'd really appreciate the help.

Ok, so I know that it's possible to record scenes from video games with a VHS tape while you're playing them, which rocks, but my question is for Smackdown VS Raw 2007, for one of the entrances.

If you pop in a DVD (we have a DVD recorder) is it possible to record the entrance on Mute, with no music, to DVD (the same way you would with a VHS tape), then upload it onto our computer, and put it into the Video editor and add the song Cyclone to it?

I just wanted to see if anyone out there has tried this, with either the same game or any other video game. Let me know if it sounds possible, or if it works. I'm pretty sure that's how most people make those music videos to movies and video games, either that or download them onto the computer. But since ours will be custom made, I wanted to know if this method actually worked.
