1999 Ford Pickup engine overhaul?
I have several questions. First of all, I have a '99 Ford F150 XLT, with a 4.6L V8. Automatic Transmission, and non 4X4. Here are my questions. 1. How many cubic inches is the 4.6L now. 2. When it comes time to rebuild the engine, I would like to bore it out so that it is a 5.0L after the overhaul. What is the over bore per cylinder. and Finally What other changes will I have to make so that I can avoid any issues after the rebuild. I am also going to have the transmission rebuilt at the same time. The engine and transmission currently have over 285K miles and no issues. I have changed the oil, and coolant, and transmission oil at the appropriate intervals. If you have links or websites, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your time.
