Should other or all religious laws be added to Oklahoma State Question 755? Do you think this law being put?
to a vote is discriminatory? It does single out one religion. If a law came out and only had Jewish Law or only Canon Law listed would you think it to be discriminatory? I post a question earlier which I flubbed up, so here is a better post. I will post a site that shows Jewish Law wanting to be influential in legislation and policy. Read the bullet points and tell me what you think.

I have the 3rd pick in a keeper leaugue. My keepers are R. Rice and M. Schaub. I have also considered picking WR Andre Johnson. It will also help you to know that Chris Johnson is another guys keeper in my league. I am thinking that the first 2 picks in my league will take Adrian Peterson and Maurice Jones-Drew. 1 AnswerFantasy Sports1 decade agoEric "Mancow" was water boarded and said that it was torture but also said that he thought it should be used.?
Does him saying this tell the world that it is only ok for the U.S. to torture. If this is true it will be very tough to get any support for this policy from other countries and could lead to torture and harm to our soldiers. I would also like to ask because of how much of a debate has been made over water boarding, why Fox News does not have the Mancow water boarding anywhere on their website?
2 AnswersJokes & Riddles1 decade agoIf the economy is strong when the middle and lower class have money then....?
If our larger companies in the US would have paid executives less and paid the people who actually run the company more wouldn't that of helped out the economy more. It seems to me a steady economy is better than a fast growing one. It seems when the economy is doing really well there is more scandal and people getting ripped off. I am sorry but if I was a CEO I would have to give a large part of my bonus to the people that put in the hard work for me to get a bonus.

9 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoHave oil companies been in denial for a long time about alternative and renewable energy?
There has been the technology around for a while now that could of helped our dependence on forgien oil. It seems to me many oil companies have resisted because of possible competition from new alternative energy companies. Let me put it this way, if there is only on way to power your car those companies that sell it have you by the gonads. I along with oil man T. Boone Pickens feel that peak oil is for real and needs to be addressed. If you look up his name on the internet you can pull up his plan for the future. I am impressed that an oil man has finally came to his senses. He wants to replace our electrical power we get from natural gas with wind power and inturn take the natural gas and use it to power our cars. This would be used in some cars and gas in others. This is not a cure all but it would help us for at least 20 years. THis would lower the cost to run our cars and also buy us time to come up with new types of energy. This should be at the top of our list in this election.
10 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoDo you think this keeps many people from voting?
I am referring to the people that live in states that usually overwhelmingly vote the same way every election. If these people actually thought that their vote counted for something and voted do you think it would make a difference in some states?
14 AnswersElections1 decade agoDo you feel a lot of company's don't do enough for their employees?
I was watching a program on tv that was talking to the owner of the online shoe store called Zappos. I was impressed with the owner and how he treated his employees. He paid for all of medical and dental and also paid them very well. This really isn't questioning the small start up companys, but companies that are well established. At Zappos half way through their training they offer the trainees $2,000 dollars to quit and a very small percentage take that offer. It seems that very few companies treat their employees as equals to their customers. It seems some companies waterdown pay and benifits to help with any falures at the managment level. The better you treat your employees the better of your buisness will be. My other question would be, Would you rather have a company that made 500 million a year and had employees that worked just to have a job or have a company that made 250 million a year and had employees that were happy healthy and respected you.
4 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoDo you feel that racism is still a huge problem?
After being on here for a couple of months there seems to be several racists answers and questions. Does this tell you we still have a long way to go as a society? I am only posting this here because this is were I see the most racism.
6 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWould you be OK with this idea of local big government?
Lets say you loved in a town of 1000 people and your city leaders decided to raise sales tax to make payments on 5 windmills. This would provide free electricity to the community plus they would be able to sell off the extra to surrounding communitys. The money your town would make off the extra would go into mantainence of the wind mills and any extra ontop of that would go back into the cities budget. What do you think. Remember that the town would be making payments so the raise in sales tax would be a small percentage.
4 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoMachiavelli " The answer is that one would like to be both the one and the other; but because it is difficult
to combine them it is far better to be feared than loved if you cannot be both." This is talking about being a leader. I will tell you my thoughts and tell me what you think. This line represents a false view of ideal leadership. The laws and guidelines that a leader creates to keep society in check should be respected. The consequences of not following these laws and guidelines are what should be feared. THe greatest leaders thoughout time were highly respected but fear did not play into their greatness. Someone who fears a leader must not share the same views of that leader. Someone whose views are the same as the leader would have no reason to fear them because of lack of conflict. A great leader gains the respect of followers by their approval of his/her usage of power. A leader is only as great as the respect he receives and the respect he/she shows to others. It seems to me that fear is used by leaders who are struggling to keep the respect of the people he/she is leading.
2 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoIf all energy companies were ran as not for profit organizations do you think?
that this would strengthen the economy? This would free up money for most Americans to put money into other aspects of the economy. I know that this would require the government or several wealthy individuals to take it over and run it as a not for profit. This would not be ruling out selling energy to other countries for a profit.
12 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoHe is bashed a lot on answers but what do you think of this quote? Also tell me if you know who said it?
This was from 1979. "This intolerable dependence on foreign oil threatens our economic independence and the very security of our nation." Considering what has happened the past several years this quote seems very insightful. Tell me who said it and what you think about it. Does it change your view of this person.
9 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoShould the government pass laws trying to make us morally sound?
I feel that the government should respect all religions as long as they do not create chaos in society. I also feel that moral decsions in some cases should be left up to the individual. It is not any governments job to play God on earth. If someone chooses to follow God then the chances of them getting to heaven are greater, but it needs to be their choice. Education is the key to spreading moral behavior not laws or policies. What do you think?
