  • How old do you have to be to work at K-Mart?

I'm 15 and live in Minnesota. I also know that the standard age is 16 for working at K-Mart BUT I also know that some states allow a little bend, and I want to know if Minnesota is one of those states or not.

P.S. I'm also going in there in a few days (I have to get a ride because I live fifteen miles out of town) to check it out but I worry about this sort of stuff and want to see if anyone else would know.

  • What is a good DSLR Canon beginner camera?

I wanted a photographer's opinion on this. I'm a beginner at photography, and have been doing lots of research on Canon cameras the past week. I do want a Canon, something that's easy to use and figure out. Also something that would be great for taking photos of people and animals. Getting something a little cheaper would be nice, just until I sharpen my skills and have enough money for a more advanced camera.

  • Looking for the BEST teen fantasy books!!?

I love reading. I go through books like mad. Granted I like the whole Sarah Dessen books and Nicholas Sparks stuff (yes, I'm very much into James Patterson books as well) I tend to drift towards the fantasy books. Not just vampires and werewolves, but everything in between like faeries, reapers, ghosts, you get my drift. Some I already read:

Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer (The first two are okay. Eclipse was the best. Didn't particularly like BD)

Maximum Ride books (love these!) by James Patterson

Mortal Instruments (♥) by Cassandra Clare

Wake Trilogy (Fade wasn't as good as I wanted it to be:( by Lisa Mcmann

Beautiful Creatures (Loved it. Hard.) by Maragret Stohl and Kami Garcia

The Hunger Games trilogy (☺) by Suzanne Collins

Harry Potter (of course) by J.K Rowling

Uglies books (the last one was kind of disappointingg) by Scott Westerfield

    Gemma Doyle by Libba Bray

The Vampire Academy (Loved.) by Richelle Mead

The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series by Rick Riordan

The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini

    White Cat by Holly Black

Cry of the Icemark by Gary Hill

    The Host by Stephenie Meyer

Witch and Wizard by James Patterson

Wicked Lovely books by Melissa Marr

    Some I didn't particularly enjoy:

House of Night series (I stopped reading them after Hunted. I hate Zoey**.)

The Immortal series by Allyson Noel. (I stopped after Blue Moon. There are very...bland, pale.)

Need/Captivate by...? (They weren't bad but it was something I could very much put down. I couldn't see why everyone was saying this was exactly like Twilight.)

That's all I can think of right now. I really don't like books with weak lead characters. Romance isn't something I look for in a book, one reason is because I don't want to dominate the entire thing. If it's there, great, but there better be enough action to balance it out.*** Also to all those House of Night fans that might just drop in to put in their 2 cents, sorry if I offended you in any way but those books aren't everybody's cup of tea, just like Twilight isn't liked by everyone as all of us know.***

Plz no bashing. (I know I bashed Zoey, but it was to prove a point). Everyone has a right to their own opinion but sometimes opinions are mean and should be kept to themselves (like mine). Thank you!

  • What are some semi-sexy sounding names, but not slutty?

I have two girl characters that are in need of names. They're sisters and both are kind of femme fatale but far from sluts.

AND since I know someone is going to be like 'you want your kid to have sexy name?!', I am NOT pregnant. I'm friggin 16 and writing a story.

  • Teen Actresses with dark hair AND dark eyes?

Writing a story, need a model for one of my characters. My character's name is Mina, she's half Egyptian. I need an actress/singer who has dark hair and dark eyes. She's 19 in my story, so anyone 18-24 would do. I've looked but I can't seem to find anyone who fits.

    Please Do Not say:

    Vanessa Hudgens

    Miranda Cosgrove

    Demi Lovato

    Selena Gomez

    Brenda Song

    Victoria Justice

I don't really want any Disney or Nickelodeon people.

  • Hair Coloring Question? Plz answer?

So my friend has kind of sandy colored hair, not blonde but not quite brown. She wants to dye her hair like a chocolate brown and then get two streaks of white and blue in her hair. She wants it to like kind of like, and I quote, "Jade from Victorious".

    http://www.sitcomsonline.com/photopost/data/2609/J...

I told her just to go in and get it done in just one day but sometimes it gets spendy. So she just wants to go to walmart, pick up some chocolate brown and have her mom dye her hair. Then she wants to go in and have them bleach two strips of her hair so she can have the white and the blue put it. How long after she dyes her hair darker does she have to wait until she can go in and have it bleached?

My friend is going on a trip to New York in a few weeks and wants her hair done as soon as possible.

    Thanks!!

  • What are some common Egyptian features?

Hair color/ facial structure (example: high cheek bones). Oh and what shape are Egyptians eyes? I heard somewhere they have almond shaped eyes but I don't know if it's legit or not. I also realize that Egyptian features vary, but if you could provide the most common of them, something that could distinguish them as being Egyptian that would be great!

  • Name Help? What do you guys think about my characters?

I'm in the process of getting ready to write a story, but having trouble picking names out. Picking out names has always been difficult for me, and I don't think I can continue writing up a plot without getting some names for faces, so I'm asking you. I need to guy names, a girl name, and your opinion of a girl name I'm considering. Here's some descriptions:

Male #1: The main guy character is very quiet. He has issues with communicating his feelings, but further on the story he takes up a responsibility to protect his friends where as he usually would ignore such a duty. There's a lot going on with this character beginning to end but his inability to say his true feelings is still undergoing construction, it causes lots of frustrations between the two females in the story (yes, there is a 'love triangle'). I want his name to mean Warrior or Protector, something along those lines but also not to old sounding or strange. His name is supposed to be foreshadow in the beginning of the story, symbolizing how far he will come towards the end of it.

Male #2: The second male character is very fun loving. He's very outgoing, basically a foil (opposite)of Male #1. He deserves a honorable name (but, again, not to old sounding).

Female #2: The second female character is very girly in a sensible way. This character is the childhood best friend of the lead female. She's bright and, for lack of a better word, good. Although she's torn between Male #1 and the second male, she is actually a likable character.

I'm considering naming my lead female Mina. In Dutch Mina means "Protector", German it means "Love" and in English it means "Strong-willed". These three meanings all contribute to the character's personality. She supports and cares deeply for her friends, particularly for Male #1. She sometimes expresses her feelings through actions and body language, rarely making them vocal. Mina has deep respect for all living and non-living things. Despite the triangle, she doesn't hold any grudges against Female #2 and when she realizes that the 'love triangle' slightly focuses on her, she decides not to be involved. She's a sweetheart, but can kick some serious *** when need be.

So...suggestions? What's your opinion of the name Mina?
