About the England captaincy, I mean.

It occurred to me this morning that giving the captaincy to David Beckham obviously isn't with an eye to the future.

It then occurred to me that Capello really isn't all that bothered who is captain.

I think that we Englishmen hold the post of national team captain in too much awe. The captain is really just another player, and Capello, by spreading it around wants it to lose some of its' lustre.

I think he's right. Your thoughts please.

Thanks to all my contacts for doing the right thing.

About half of them are saying 'Glad we lost' and 'Benitez must go' or 'United would've beaten us in Moscow'.
