do you hate to hear at weddings?

I'm getting married in December of 2008. I already know my colors are a deep deep red (like a burgundy or a merlot) with touches of cream and very little accents of silver. It's not a Christmas theme wedding but there will be certain Christmas touches (this is a wedding, not a Christmas party). Any ideas for centerpieces, place cards, decor..anything would be great!

My fiance and I were thinking about doing scratch off lottery tickets as our wedding favors. They'd be in little glassine envelopes with a sticker that said "Lucky in Love" or Wishing you riches from the new "Mr. and Mrs." with a penny inside.

Good or bad idea?

I need ideas for my December wedding. I'm thinking a deep deep red like a merlot or cranberry with a sage green? Yes/No? Any other ideas? It's going to be a Christmas-y theme but subtle...this is a wedding not a christmas party.

I just recently got engaged (yay) and my future mother-in-law made the comment "Well, now you get to call me Mom!!" And she seems really excited about it...however, I know that my mom would really hate it if I called her mom (she has come straight out and told me she would). She said she would feel uncomfortable with it because she was the one who raised me and everything. I completely understand but how do I tell my future mother-in-law I don't want to call her mom without hurting her feelings??

Has anyone ever tried their program? Does it work? How are their exercise "tables"? Did you like it? Did you keep the weight off? Anything you could tell me would be helpful! Thanks

What are some ways you assess your student's learning throughout the year, besides traditional testing?

I've been dating my boyfriend for almost 3 years now, we're really close to getting engaged. I love him more than anything but he's just not romantic at all. Any ideas how I can get him to be more romantic? I've tried telling him flat out that he needs to step it up, but it's just not working...

My father passed away, so my great uncle will be giving me away. I really like the idea of the groom/mother dance and the bride/father (well, uncle) dance, but I can't find a good song to dance with my uncle. All I'm finding refer to fathers and daughters...any ideas?
