  • Water is a good insulator?

Would it be a od idea to use bottles of water as loft insulation, as it is free, to re-use old bottles, and if there wa sa fire, the bottles would melt and help put out the fire.

Also, with rising sea levels, we would effectively be traping and storing water which would otherwise cause flooding to low lying areas, thus helping with rising water.

ALSO, reducing waste, as the bottles would not be thrown away, and would be used again.

    What do you think?

  • Employer is promoting me on their website?

I have asked my employer to remove my name off their website, they have refused, because the article which is 2 years old is promoting the company and the department I work for.

However I did not give permission for the article, which is now quite out of date and irrelevant.

Dispite my request they have told me that unless I am in any particular harm, or at risk, they will not remove it.

What do you feel about my request? I have been indispute with my employer and I do not wish to be used to promote the department. Am I being un-reasonable?

    Thanks

I use a printer which is an Epson D92, it does the job and prints well. But I have recently got a box which says "there was a problem, windows is checking for a solution, and the box keeps opening again and again and I have to close down the PC, before I can do anything. It won't even let me save a word documant or go to another window at this box is checking for a solution!

    Any advice would be appreciated.

No problems witrh PC until I need to print something.

  • Employing friends and family, how does it fit in with Equal Opportunity?

I work for a multi million pound company, one of the managers has been able to get his son, his wife and his son-in-law very good jobs there too, dispite them lacking in experience or qualifications for the job rolls.

I've been there 20 years but my pay has been reduced even though I have been re-trained and got more qualifications.

My boss says if you don't like the money, go and find another job elsewhere. But his son-in-law just started working there 3 months ago and gets £100 a week more than I do (he earns what I did 8 years ago).

Apparently it is not illegal to lower employees salaries, dispite them progressing qualifications wise.

Also my employer keeps adding extra tasks onto my job roll, but without adding extra pay.

Do you think I am just winging, or do I have a point? UK.

  • Green Cars, my neighbour has got 4 of them?

I don't like green cars very much, they are always £300 cheaper than a blue or red counterpart. My neighbour has got 4 green cars, he bought his mussus and his daughter green cars! Cheapskate.

Do you think I should go out and spray at least two of them pink, during the night?

  • Orion airways 1980's

During the early 1980's Orion airways played a particular music in their planes, it was a soothing sort of song with a very distinctive tune. Does anyone know what song it was??? Thanks.

Orion ceased in around 1985, and became Britannia I think??

    Thanks.
