We're coming to the end of an 18 month, pretty expensive, contract with BT and will only be needing broadband for another 3 months until uni finishes. What are the best options?

All films have at least a little narrative premise but do you think character and narrative development is undermined or ignored in favour of the spectacular?

Are we getting a little fed up of films with great (and not so great) effects and lack of good storyline or characters? Any opinions/ examples?

do you guys know of any recent examples from british politics, or american if not, i can use for a political communication exam- media based:

my cousin is 18 and 27 stone. she's just had her tonsils removed to help her breath because she kept on stopping in the middle of the night. I'm sending her a 'get well soon' card and wanting to say something to inspire her to lose weight. although the doctors have told her that if she doesn't do something, she will be dead before 40, she still isn't doing anything. she's done the gym and weight watchers thing and quit after a few weeks. she isn't happy with her weight because she cries everytime it's brought up but still has no motivation to do anything which is hurting her family which annoys me no end.

I don't want to offend her but I need her to see she has to lose weight. any ideas with what I could say?

what do you make of the news that the Golden Compass has been watered down to avoid any religious overtones. The catholic league are still against it, saying the film might entice viewers to go and read the books. What is wrong with a plurality of opinions? Can you ever please people when religion is concerned? you put it in a film and there is outrage from religious groups, you leave it out, there is debate about a minority dictating what the majority are consuming? any thoughts?

i took over a year of driving lessons and then took about a year off because of uni and now need to pass my test before my theory runs out in november and am thinking of doing an intensive course. my general driving's fine but I was never confident on reversing, having been taught it in the most hit and miss way possible. any thoughts on a driving course?

Also- apart from Superman of course- what could make the earth spin the other way?

Why is a 'thinner atmosphere' such a large factor in heat as well as the oxygen available?

According to Darwin's theory, if an animal has a more beneficial charcteristic, this will survive while other's without this will die and eventually the only charcteristics past on will be the beneficial ones. Obviously, human charcteristics are more beneficial than those of apes so why are there still apes around as well as humans, why did they not all evolve?

What I was meaning was if planets are made by lots of particles from, space being attracted together- don't know if that's true at all- then how do lots of the same particles become attracted together to make the cores of planets different from each other rather than all of them attracting the same particles and being identical? Also, was there a time when there was nothing at all in space?If so then how did things suddenly come into being?
