I live in Canada and am very passionate about art - among other things such as interior decorating and ReDesign - I quit working in law to do that. But what I'd like to know is how I go about getting my art noticed here in Canada or hey, in Europe or the US? I'd greatly appreciate any and all help.l

Does anyone know where I can sell a 1st edition hardcover book in excellent condition? I have a 1st edition of Black Sunday by Thomas Harris, dust jacket, cloth covered boards, gilt lettering.

I don't understand. It's as if someone has taken over my avatar. Sometimes I see it, sometimes I don't. And sometimes, the name under the avatar is The ReDesign Diva and at other times, there is no avatar, just a shadow of a man and the name is just a question mark (?). Hi... I'm putting a new product out on the market and am looking for a packaging supplier. I need a solution. The best would be a box that we can see what's inside. It would have to be 20 inches high by 5 inches square... I'd be open to any solutions... bags, boxes, etc. Thanks in advance.

It has to be at least 20 inches high by and 5 inches square. I would also be open to a cylinder shaped packing solution. The thing is, you need to see what's inside... Can anybody help with some ideas... I'd greatly appreciate it... I've been searching and I don't want to order from China (I'd prefer Canada).

When you ask for advice here about decorating a room and you mention your furniture, may I suggest that if you don't have a picture to show us, how about doing an image search on Google and finding the same color or type of furniture online and copying the address bar into your question, so that we can help you better? What do you think???

Hi one and all! I'm moving to a new house in June and as it stands now, I'll be using one of the bedrooms for my art studio. I'm sorta okay with that. I'd hate to bother my kids (I'm an owl and like to listen to music while I paint late at night). However, I'm thinking of building a garage (not to use as a garage but as a studio, water, heating, electricity) and it would be in the very back of the yard. I'm wondering if anyone has a better idea... I'm so totally open to suggestions....

My daughter will be competing with her new horse this year and she's having trouble deciding on the competition name. I'm hoping you guys can help her out.

She's been thinking of:

Hi there one and all!

I work in a marketing and communications firm and our city is having it's 400th birthday soon. We've been asked to do up a proposal for a link to their for their Website for different ideas, sort of like a downloadable guide for the festivities. Basically, they city wants us to come up with an idea booklet that will get people motivated to decorate their houses, their cars, crafts, scrapbooks, whatever in the colors of the birthday extravaganza. The celebrations will go on all year long.

Well, no matter how hard I try, I'm stumped. I feel like I keep coming up with stale answers to this problem and I feel I'm getting nowhere...

Please, all you creative people out there, this won't take any work away from any of you that I know of and so I'm hoping you yahoo fiends can help me out here... If so, much appreciated, I assure you!

Has anyone else but me noticed how many idiots are on this site that DON'T want to help people out? It amazes me how mean some people are... Am I the only one here who thinks these people are idiots???? Imagine... someone comes here asking for help and some jerks just feel the urge to stomp on them thru this site... I just can't seem to wrap my mind around it... I guess that that is the only way they can feel BIG... by making others feel small.

Okay. I have 3 teens. I'm having a hard time getting them to help out around the house. Have tried taking away priveleges, allowance, etc.

I don't want my kids to listen to me because they fear me. I want my kids to listen and do what they should be doing because it's the right thing to do.

Any helpful suggestions? Please, no violent ones... I'm not taking that road and I will report you for abuse if you suggest violence to me, including spanking.

Hi everyone!

Since I decided to quit working in the field of law in 2003 and devote my career to what drives me passionately (which is basically, anything to do with decorating, design and ReDesign), I've been having fun with life. I no longer have to stop on the side of the road on my way to work, knowing that when I got there, I'd have to smile at another criminal and maybe even have to shake their hand... I love doing what I do and I have a great time here on answers.

What I've been wondering is if those of you that have thanked me for my ideas and help in Home and Garden, particularly in the decoration section, would be willing to send me a reference letter if I've helped them out in any way. I would be able to add this to my portfolio. I'd greatly appreciate the help in building my new life, that's for sure!

Anyhow, it's just a request. And my grandma taught me that usually, the worst thing that can happen is you say no. I thank you anyway for taking the time to read me.

I've been translating (French to English and English to French) for a number of years now. I have clients such as GE, law offices, publicity companies, printing companies, doctors, translation firms, etc. and would like to find more freelance translation work that I can do from home. Does anyone know of any good places I can find translation work? All help is appreciated!
