  • Using magnum pistol primers?

I have been unable to find small pistol primers for sale anywhere. I managed to purchase a box of small magnum primers. A emailed the manufacturer and asked if I could use them in my 9mm, 40 S&W and 7.62x25. The answer was "We reccomend small pistol primers in your guns".

This did not answer my question. Does anyone know if I can use magnum primers in a 9mm, 40 S&W and a 7.62 tokarev?

It is my understanding that magnum primers give a larger flash. Why would it make a difference in a smaller pistol load? Could it hurt my guns?
