  • Any suggestions for a gift for a Blind Friend?

My wife and son are traveling to Thailand and want to bring a gift from the US for a blind male friend. He is a massage therapist and a good friend of the family. Something relatively small and costs in the $30 to $70 range.

    Thanks!

  • How would you play 77 in a Hold 'em Poker Tournament?

Situation - Middle stages of an online tournament, still a ways from the bubble. I have above average chip stack ($15k) with blinds at 300-600 with 50 ante. I am in early position and believe I have a relatively tight solid image at this table, though I've only been at this table for about 15 mins. I limp in and it folds to the small blind who completes, then the Big Blind raises to 2400.

A note on the Big Blind - He has won several big pots in the last couple of orbits with marginal holdings preflop and seems to be trying to run over the table a bit with his big stack.

This is where I'd like some opinions...what is the best way to play 77 against a loose aggressive opponent you have position on?

I chose to smooth call thinking I had the best hand, but am vulnerable (Small Blind folds). Pot is 5850, Flop is 854 all spades (I have the 7 of spades) and the Big Blind shoves allin his big stack which has me way covered. I have about $12k left and feel he is just trying to steal the pot, maybe with overcards with a spade....so I decided to flip the coin and call.

I won't tell you what he actually had as it may influence your opinion.
