6 AnswersOther - Music8 years agoIs Peorth from Ah! My Goddess based off a real goddess?
I know in the anime that Skuld, Urd, and Belldandy are based of the sisters of fate from Norse mythology but I can't find anything on Peorth. Does anyone know?
2 AnswersComics & Animation9 years agoNeed help finding a fast, unique weapon?
I am writing a story and I have a female character in need of a melee weapon. It needs to be fairly unique and built for speed and accuracy.
Here are some things that won't work:
Swords
Ball and chain
Axe
Hammer
Fists
Any ideas? I really appreciate it!
5 AnswersVideo & Online Games9 years agoHow much should I charge to babysit six kids?
My normal rate is $8 an hour, and then +$2 for every extra kid. So if there were six kids it would be $18 an hour.
Is that too much?
5 AnswersParenting9 years agoCould my birth control cause diarrhea?
I've been on Microgestin FE 1/20 for almost three years. Starting in March, I began having stomach pains and gas. The pain became unbearably strong and it is focused right above my belly button. Then I started having diarrhea a month ago and it has been consistent. During the last couple of months I have a few days where I feel fantastic but it always comes back around the time I start a new months pill set. My doctor has no idea what it is, I'm not pregnant, I dont have H Pylori or need my gallbladder removed or have kidney stones.
I am just wondering if my birth control could cause this? Please help
1 AnswerWomen's Health9 years agoStomach pain - Please help...please?
I cant take it much more. This has been going on for almost two months. My stomach hurts almost all day, from the moment I wake up to the moment I am asleep. I have no appetite anymore. I feel weak all the time. The pain is mostly right above my belly button - centered but it sometimes goes lower.
Pepto doesnt help, Tums doesnt help, gas-x doesnt help, I went to my doctor and she prescribed me these acid control pills but its been a week and still no sign of improvement - if anything it got worse.
the thing is I thought it was gas because every time I toot I get relief from the pain - but only for an hour or two at most. Then its crippling, on the floor pain again. I cant go on like this - hiding under my cubicle desk till the pain passes is just strange.
1 AnswerWomen's Health9 years agoHow to have more patience with my Mother-in-Law?
My Mother-in-Law recently moved in with us for a few months. She got a new job down where we lived and needed time to save up money. So we invited her to stay with us.
However, she only ever talks about how awful her life has been, her pain, her hardships, everything that went wrong, death, etc. And then my husband says she probably doesn't like the food we have in our house when I am the one making it and serving it to her every night. Now - its not home cooked meals all the time (usually its just heating something up) but we cant afford to make big fancy meals every night.
My issue is that this is all starting to get to me and I am getting very agitated and it is becoming noticeable. My husband talked to her and it has improved a little but it still is driving me up a wall. My entire life flipped upside down when she moved in and I feel myself ready to explode. How do I cope for a few more months? How do I stay happy and not snap at her?

5 AnswersPhilosophy10 years agoBirthday/Romantic Vacation idea?
Alright, I need help coming up with an idea. I do not have a lot of money to spend, say 150-200 as the max range. My fiances birthday is coming up and I want to get him out of the house and spend some quality one on one time with him.
I thought of renting a cabin for the weekend, but the weekend right before his birthday he is going on his annual fishing trip with the guys. Camping two weekends in a row doesnt seem like a good idea.
Does anyone have any ideas?
3 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships10 years agoCan you think of a booby trap?
Say you are in the time of Robin Hood and you need to make a boody trap. You have no weapons except for maybe a crude knife. You have every type of terrain (rocky, woods, river, etc). Can you come up with a booby trap?
For example, setting up rocks at the top of the hill and luring your victim into their path, then cutting a rope that is holding them up. Instant rock slide right onto your victim.
1 AnswerVideo & Online Games10 years agoStill hungry after breakfast?
I had a fairly big breakfast today (an entire can of pineapple, a piece of sausage, some cheese, and a few chips [I believe in treating myself!]) But three hours later my stomach is growling like crazy. I dont want to eat more because of my diet (calorie counter) but I dont want to pass out from hunger. Should I bite the bullet and eat something?
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness10 years agoHow common are gold eyes?
I have gold eyes, as crazy as it may seem. They are not a light brown, I promise. They start off with a small sliver of blue on the outside, then gold. My question is, how common is that? I've never met anyone else with eyes like this and no one in my family has them either. We mostly have green eyes in my family, with a few blue scattered about.
3 AnswersOther - Beauty & Style10 years agoReason why I almost passed out?
I went to my karate class today and almost passed out. I had ate breakfast (two slices of raisin bread and a few chips) but did skip my snack, making it about five hours since I last ate. I was fine going through my forms and kicks, but as soon as we were standing still while the instructor spoke, I started to feel sick to my stomach. Thinking I was just a little hungry, I ignored it (or at least tried). Then the world started to go grey around the outside of my vision and it kept getting further in until I couldn't see anymore. As soon as I laid down, my vision came back.
My guess is that my sugar was too low but this is the first time it's ever happened to me. I am also guessing the reason why as soon as I sat down my vision came back is because the blood was more easily flowing that way.
I do plan on going to my doctor but I want some advice on what could cause it so I can bounce ideas off my doctor. Thanks for all your help/advice!
3 AnswersOther - General Health Care10 years agoWhat to do when your boss lies?
My fiance works for the government and is currently a procurement technician. He has his bachelors degree and in less than a year will have his masters. He is more than qualified to be a specialist. His boss came over to him today and said that positions for specialist would be opening sometime in the fall and that he was guaranteed the first one she had. This, of course, made him very happy because he is being extremely underpaid for his level of education.
He then overhears his boss saying the exact same thing to another procurement technician whos mother she happens to be friends with.
My question is, should he confront her about it or just hold out until he has his masters degree (the place he works for is paying for it) and find a job somewhere else. She has said things like this to him numerous times and every time it has fallen through and now we think we know why. I feel like we should confront but I dont want to recommend he do something reckless.
4 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment10 years agoWhat is the next Disney princess movie?
My little sister was just a bit too young to see Tangled. Now that she is a bit older, I was hoping to take her to one but I haven't heard any gossip about the next princess movie. Does anyone have any ideas what it is going to be?
2 AnswersMovies10 years agoWhat do you think of Americans?
Alright, I am an american so please be gentle! I am asking this question here because I have always wanted to visit the UK but my fiance insists that we will be hated and treated poorly just for the fact that we are american. I will admit that I'm not familiar with all the customs and the different phrases (example: fish and chips instead of fish and french fries) but it is my dream to visit.
I'm a huge history buff, in particular King Henry VIII, and I would love to visit the Tower of London, Greenwich Palace, and a few other locations. But if I'm going to be hated there, I would rather wait till I am an old lady and people have the tendency to be nicer! :)
So, would I be hated, tolerated, or liked?

12 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships10 years agoHow to get over my fear of anniversary's?
Tomorrow is my one year anniversary with my boyfriend. The only problem is that it terrifies me more than excites me. Every relationship I've ever been in has been great the first year, then gone to hell the second. I've only ever made it to the "third" year once, and that was with my first love.
I'm so afraid I'm going to let this fear get the better of me and over the next year I am going to push him away. He says I'm depressed all the time when I don't think I am and I just feel like its already starting. I really need something: words of encouragement, anything
