My fiance & I wll be getting married next September, just over a year from now. He has two half brothers [ages 8 & 12], a half sister [age 8], & a full brother [18]. His full brother will be his best man, no doubt about it. For the other kids we were just going to give them "special" tasks throughout the wedding [which we haven't decided on & would love your input as well] as we think that 9 years old is a bit too old be a ring bearer & flower girl. We just weren't going to have a ring bearer & flower girl since we don't really have any younger kids that super close to us. My mom thinks that it's kind of weird to not have one & that I should use my fiance's younger siblings. I don't want anybody to feel left out, but I also don't want the kids or my guests to be like "uhh what the heck" haha, you know what I mean.

So basically, how old is too old for either position & if given I use the 8-year-olds [or will be 9 by time the wedding], what should the 12-year-old do [then 13]?

Also, do you think it's too "taboo" not to have a flower girl and/or ring bearer?

My fiance's laptop won't turn on [like the title suggests] anymore. It went into sleep mode & won't go past the black screen. The green power light comes on & the fan starts up, but then after a minute it just shuts off [gives up in a sense]. I've tried to look up solutions, but the "easy" ones [like taking out the battery, holding down the power button, etc.] hasn't worked :/.

He is beyond frustrated & I would love to make all of this better. He needs this laptop for school & work. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a few hundred dollars-a thousand dollars to just throw around.

Any suggestions? Even if it's just take it to the Geek Squad or something haha. Some outside advice will be greatly appreciated :]

PS. He bought it sometime in 2008 & had a virus issue about a year ago, but that was removed & all has been well since then. Not sure what the warranty & such is [I plan to call tomorrow], but I imagine it's voided either by time or the fact that it's been "altered" due to the virus.

I need a little reassurance, but be honest.

I'm about a week late for my period. Almost a month ago, my boyfriend & I had an "accident." Though I am on birth control and he does pull out (yes, I realize that is not a 100% method), I am beginning to question our protection or there lack of in this case. I took a home pregnancy test which was negative.

Any suggestions or insight to what might be going on?
