  • I feel like I'm running out of time when it comes to girls?

I'm a 21 year old college senior that comes to school everyday. I'm not very social at school, its hard with my situation of not living on campus, but in some ways it bothers me.

What bothers me the most though is my lack of experience with young women. I've never had a girlfriend, never kissed a girl, and have been on one date in my life. At this point, I realize that truly I'm still young, but in some ways I feel like my best opportunities are now behind me. I feel like high school and college were the two times in life where young women have been all around and readily avaliable, when this school year ends, that will all come to an end. I will be left, unexperienced, on my own, and without a clue on not only how to interact with women, but also how to find them.

i'd do something about it now, but these days most of my classes are filled with guys (a sport management major will do that) and i'm not really interested in any of the few girls in them. there's one girl i've seen on campus that i think might be interested in me, but i only see her at random and its been weeks since i have. i just feel out of options.

i don't know if anyone can really help, but i needed to say all this. it would be great if someone has an opinion.

  • Immaturity when it comes to girls is my problem?

I turned 21 years old about a month ago. I've never had a girlfriend, I've never kissed a girl, I've only ever had one date and that was my senior prom. I'm definitely straight, I like girls and very much find them attractive. I think that in some ways I just haven't matured yet, and that's what I'm looking for an answer to. If that thought process of mine is right.

For one, I'm very nervous and intimidated by girls. If I see a pretty girl or a girl I think might be interesting I don't pursue her whatsoever. Chances are I won't say a single word to her. I'm just painfully shy, and I guess intimidated. I'm afraid to say anything, I mean, what would I say. What could I possibly talk about and hold a conversation with her with. I'd probably just be bothering her anyway. Why would she want to talk to me? So I just don't try.

Further, I just have a whole lot of anxiety when comes to the whole thought of being with a young woman. Ok, lets say I did successfully talk to one, I ever asked her on a date. Now I have to figure out what we're going to do. And honestly, I have no clue. I wouldn't want to disappoint her, I feel the pressure of finding something for us to do, and I have to worry about how nicely I should dress, and so on. Then I have to worry about not messing up the date.

Lastly there's the problem of my lack of experience. I overall just don't know what I'm doing. How to interact, how to flirt, how to break the touch barrier, how to carry myself, etc. The problem is inaction is just going to keep me in the same place. You can only learn by doing. But at this point, its probably weird that I'm so inexperienced. How could I pass that off as ok? I'm stuck.

Also, I'm a commuter to college which means I have to drive 20 min to get there, plus I'm not all that social at school because my commuter status means I've never been immersed in it. Just another excuse to not progress myself.

My overall point is that I have a lot of anxiety when it just comes to the thought of girls, and because of that I just don't want to bother with them. I'd rather just not deal with them it seems, but at the same time it really does drive me crazy because I feel like its time for me to finally begin that part of my life.

Other than these issues, I'm a normal guy. I have friends, and likes and dislikes. I just struggle a lot in this one area.

Am I just still too immature at this point? Am I just looking at the world wrong? Can anyone help me?

  • Will my PS3 get infected with a virus this way?

My dad's computer got a virus, and is currently infected. i like to pull the ethernet cord out from that computer and plug it into my PS3 for online use. Do I stand to harm my PS3 if I do so? A little explanation of your answer outside of just yes or no would be helpful as well.

  • Can LeBron James really be considered one of the greatest ever?

Even if he openly admits that he isn't capable of beating a team like the Boston Celtics on his own without another superstar player at his side. How can you be the greatest if you not even the greatest on your own team? He called Dwayne Wade the "franchise player" last night. He said he had to leave Cleveland because he couldn't do it on his own. Doesn't that still tarnish his legacy?

  • Using Word 2007. How do I stop automatic indents to my citation page?

I need a annotated bibliography and that means every line after the first should be indented. By auto correct on Word insists on having all the lines indented and evened out. How do I fix this?

  • Ladies, do I sound datable/interesting?

(Yes, this is a repost, I'm looking for a few more answers than I've gotten)

I ask because I'm 20 years old and have never had a girlfriend. I'm trying to figure out if there is something wrong with me or I just don't try hard enough. So, here's some info on me and I'd appreciate it if you could let me know what you think. Be honest.

    - I'm 5'11", 195 lbs, i used to be in better shape than i am now. admittedly, i'm a little overweight. not obese by any means, but could probably afford to lose about 15 lbs.

    - I'm a college student, and commute to school every day. I'd say I'm a good student. I get mostly As and some Bs.

    -My major is sports management.

    - I love sports, especially baseball. I played it competitively until through part of my sophomore year of college before giving it up (i'm a junior now). now, i'm a baseball coach at the high school level at my old high school.

    - I've taken Spanish for almost 7 1/2 years. i'd say i'm pretty good at it. i like to try to speak it.

    - I'm quiet, shy, reserved, and have trouble being comfortable with new people, but when I get to know you, I'm talkative and engaging.

    - I hold myself to a sense of morality. That includes not drinking or smoking, i'm not a big crazy party person, and I have respect for girls.

    - I kinda live a straight laced lifestyle.

    - I love music, but mostly well written hip hop, R&B, pop, some mainstream rock, and then old type stuff.

-speaking of hip hop, I'm an artist myself. I rap. At least I used to, I haven't written anything in a matter of months, but would like to when my time frees up more. Yes, I'm white, and no, I don't think I'm black. I just love the music and found it fun and relaxing to use rap as a form of artistic expression. and i think i'm pretty good at it.

-Otherwise I find myself to be kinda boring. I like to watch TV and play video games, and relax, I like to socialize with friends but not with strangers.

Sorry if I'm coming off as fishing for compliments, its just hard when you've never known really what girls think.

    Thanks.

  • Why should I do? How should I react?

Let me start by saying I'm not very good with women. I'm a 20 year old guy, I go to college and have never had a girlfriend.

Well, I have this friend in one of my classes that's a girl, and she texted me the other day after class to tell me that I should know one of the girls in our class had complimented me. Apparently she got a text from another friend in the class saying that she should date me because I'm cute. So my friend let me know about it, but didn't specifically tell me who her friend was, I have a pretty good idea though, and I'm allowed to guess at class tomorrow who it was.

Say I find out who think I'm cute. What should I do? For one, the girl was suggesting I date my friend. I was thinking of having my friend introduce me to the girl that texted her, but that might be a slap in the face to my friend considering it was suggested she date me in the first place. I don't feel that way about my friend, but I don't know how she feels. I'd like to get to know the other girl a little, but really don't know how to go about it, especially while making sure I don't offend me friend.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Could slaveowners go north after slaves had escaped and made it to the north and return their slaves to servitude? For some reason it sticks out in my mind that such practice became illegal before the Civil War. Anyone know for sure?

  • What causes young people to act out?

I guess I just don't get it myself. I'm 20, I don't drink, I don't do drugs, I don't smoke, I don't have promiscuous sex. I just don't understand it, what makes teenagers and young adults decide that they want to do "bad things" like those, for a lack of a better way to put it. I couldn't imagine myself consciously doing something to break the law or that would potentially make someone disappointed in me, and if I did I could imagine not feeling bad about it after. But I know tons of young people who just do whatever they want, no matter how bad it could be considered, and its just normal for them.

I don't say this to try to sound better than anybody else. I guess I'm asking because I just don't understand, and kinda want to understand better.

    Anybody have any thoughts?
