  • 2001 Honda Accord - Cranks But Won't Start?

I have this 2001 Honda Accord now at 150000 miles. Everything is fine until today when it won't start... although yesterday, I noticed the engine to have bogged down a bit and almost misfired as if the engine was "blinking".

I checked the spark plug and see any wearing out. I noticed that the spark plug gaps have grown larger than the gap recommended by the factory. I had to give a little leeway for heat expansion since I checked it with the engine warm (not too hot). But still, those gaps are considerably to big so I had it adjusted to spec.

I drove the car after what I did and everything seems fine. It's running and driving.

It is now that the engine cranks but it will not start. I also seem to smell unburnt gas.

I did a little check to see if its the fuel pump, but iif it is the case, I don't think so because I smell that fuel. I also checked that maybe it is my immobilizer, but I don't think so either, because the green key blinking light is functioning.

My best guess is the ignition system, but I want to think that it is also the spark plug wires... The car's spark plug wires have never been replaced since owning it.

By the way, I also noticed a slight loss of power about weeks ago before all this happened and even thought that the fuel economy is also going bad...

Any other clues, people? ULTIMATE THANKS!

  • Your testimonials on WE Tech gas blowback airsoft XDM40?

I would like to ask fellow airsoft gamers who own and use WE's gas blowback airsoft of the DM40 (i.e. Springfield XDM look alike). What are your current experiences and encountered issues (if you had any, please share both minor and major issues) of having owned this airsoft gun.

It would be nice that it is unbiased (feel free to vent if you had a bad experience with this particular pistol just make sure you don't include profane words. LoL!) and based on shooting the gun after 3000 rounds or more so we can tell that the gun has really been used. A recommended basis but not required.

    Thanks.

  • I have an airsoft 1911 pistol I have not used for a long time, any advice before I use it again?

I have an airsoft 1911 pistol I have not used for maybe a month. However, I did the usual maintenance before having kept it there for storage; Cleaned and lubricated it.

I think I kept the hop up on the last adjustment I had with it, so it makes me think if that gives the hop-up rubber any kind of shelf wear? You think I shouldn't have done that?

I can see the oil where I last put them. On the rails and some on the recoil spring guide and hammer as well. Some on the trigger mechanism too. Was it bad keeping the oil there? I assume it was a good idea keeping the oil there than not, right?

What else should I do before using this airsoft gun again? By the way, this pistol runs on CO2.

If I may ask, you think the recoil spring has weakened a bit from storage too?

LoL! Maybe I worry too much and I should go about putting a new CO2 cartridge and start shooting whenever I want to?

  • AEG airsoft rifle is slightly angled to the left?

A buddy of mine purchased an airsoft AEG rifle. I noticed though, that by looking at the AEG from the top, the entire gun is angled slightly to the left. I am NOT saying that the barrel is bent. It is that the AEG's hand guard and upper receiver, mated together is slightly angled to the left. A manufacturing flaw, if you look at it.

Anyway, we tried to zero the sights at 30 feet with 0.20g BBs and was successful. At 30 feet, we managed to group the BBs inside a 1inch square. In fact, we even managed to shoot one BB into the same hole the first BB went through. Btw, the AEG is rated at 330 FPS for added info.

I know that wind and gravity easily affects the BB's accuracy, but I was wondering if after having zeroed the sights, does that mean the slightly angled AEG shouldn't bother my buddy anymore?

  • How to Properly Store Glock Airsoft GBB Pistol?

That question sounds super-plain and simple, even a n00b will think its a no-brainer...

That includes removing the magazine and making sure the gun has been cleaned and lubed before storage. Some even recommend putting a small amount of green gas pressure on the magazine to keep the O-rings inside them soft and lubed as well...

    However...

I am worried about the trigger mechanism. Should I keep the pistol with the trigger in its forward (likewise ****** striker) position OR should it be in its rearward (striker in neutral) position.

I just received an airsoft replica of this gun and I'd like to know how to preserve the gun as much as possible specially that trigger spring..

  • Are WE airsoft gas blowback pistol still made using pot metal?

As part of my continued search for airsoft gbb pistols, I also came across the WE brand. Is it true that this manufacturer uses pot metal for their airsoft guns? Some even say that WE already stopped using pot metal and switched to aluminum or some other stronger metal... However, can anyone confirm on this? And if so, which of WE's pistols DO NOT use pot metal?

I have a cheap Black-Ops Ignite airsoft CO2 pistol which came from Walmart. It was easy to tell that it is made of pot metal with the recoil spring guide shattered and the barrel pushing cracked and bent. Pot metal is just too prone to breaking and I would love to avoid airsoft guns made of those!

  • What do the colors of an airsoft GBB pistol nozzles mean?

I am on a search for a gas blowback airsoft pistol and came across KJW brand's 1911s. Looking at the pictures I noticed that the air nozzle colors vary from one model to another. I am very much familiar seeing them black, but with KJWs, I saw one in red and another in blue.

What do those try to tell a newbie buyer, like me, perhaps? Do those indicate a "reinforced" air nozzle? I think I read it somewhere that pistol with red air nozzle can even take CO2, which is, from my experience a more powerful (thus more damaging to GBB) gas...

  • Your Testimonials on WE Hi Capa Airsoft Pistol?

I'm trying to research on this pistol before I even think of buying one. What is this that I came across with saying that the metal parts on WE's Hi Capa pistols are made of, well... "Pot Metal"

Does this mean the metal parts will wear too soon? Does it mean that it is rather "soft" that a small bump can cause dents and the strength of the gas blow back could crack some of the airsoft pistol's parts (particularly internals).

Perhaps you can send me some of your testimonials and experience with their products, generally, all of your WE Tech Hi-Capa line-ups. Perhaps the number of rounds you've shot and how long have you had your airsoft gun, issues about gas leaks, issues about slide jams or even parts "exploding"!?

Hope to Hear from You All Soon!

    Superb Thanks!

  • Just how much BBs have you shot before your Gas Blowback Airsoft Gun start showing issues?

Not just the O-rings and/or seals. With the right lubrication, those rubber parts can last long and well.

    However...

We're talking mechanical damage here. When the slide begins to jam, the recoil spring starts to weaken, and the magazine feeding BBs gets an issue.

I prefer that we don't point out how long we have an airsoft gun. Instead, how many BBs we've actually already shot before issues started appearing. We all know that if in one year, we barely use our airsoft guns, that won't wear the gun. Real wear and tear begins when we are shooting the gun and the number of rounds dictate just that.

  • Is the Experian Credit Report the Same with Equifax and Transunion?

I am currently checking my credit report via my bank and it so happened that they assisted me to get one via Experian. However, I find this strange because I know there's also Transunion and Equifax...

How do I get the report from the other two? I've heard that's where AnnualCreditReport.com goes into play. However, I am worried this may deduct to my score, since I already got one from Experian.

Question is, can I also get the (all 3) Annual Credit Report separately aside from Experian?

  • What's the Basic Accessories You Can Add to an M4 RIS/Carbine for Use in Sports?

By now you can definitely tell I am a newbie in the world of the black rifle. Aside from having iron sights, I've heard that dot sights (either red dot like Aimpoint or holographic like EOTech will do) is bread and butter to the modern day M4 carbine with rails. Followed by a vertical or angle fore grip for the supporting hand.

I wonder if the addition of a laser pointer and flashlight will find any use in sporting? I also find some with AN-PEQ boxes, but I think those are already out of civilian league?

Anything I should be saving up funds for?

    Any suggestions

  • Does Magpul Dark Earth color vary part by part?

Does Magpul Dark Earth color vary part by part?

I purchased a pair of front and rear Magpul MBUS Back-Up Front and Rear sights in Dark Earth Color.

I also purchased the Magpul AFG2 Angled Foregrip in the same color as well.

However, when I put the sights and the AFG2 together, the supposed Dark Earth Colors aren't exactly 100% consistent. The grip is just slightly lighter. I wonder if this is the same case for you.

I also checked the possibility of it being mixed with Desert Tan or Odd Green, but with these, the colors are obviously far from another.

    Help please... Thanks...

  • Is there a point to using a bipod on a rifle with NO scope?

Is there a point to using a bipod on a rifle with NO scope?

I was just wondering if adding a bipod to a rifle is something really necessary --- specially for those rifles that doesn't have a scope (i.e. iron sights only and/or 1x holographic sight only)?

Anyway, I see this question as non-factual and would love to hear your answers based on experience.

  • What is the most optimum range of an airsoft AEG rifle?

I got a brand NEW G&G Armament "Combat Machine" CM16 R8L AEG rifle. Though it's new, I want to think that the rifle has been sitting too long on their shelves.

Right out of the box, 0.25g BBs loaded (decided to shoot a bit heavy for accuracy test), I can shoot at 25 feet (indoor range) with all my BBs shooting "right inside the same hole the previous BB went thru". However, at 50 feet (outdoor range), the BBs begin to go "downhill" -- I was expecting to do more, hoping that it will shoot accurately the same at this range.

I did a Poor Man's chrono test using a Coke can and shooting at the sides and it cannot even blow a hole thru it. This time I was using a 0.20g BB with my muzzle at point blank range of 2 inches away from the Coke can.

I am beginning to worry I may have here a lemon and I can't even return it to the seller (I didn't buy it online. I got it from a walk-in store that's not even big business, I was just trusting the name G&G brand and it's reputation).

It seems the performance sucks considering its a DMR-size rifle. Unless, being "Combat Machine" which is a sportline class, perhaps I am expecting too much from this gun?

Anyway, I want to think that I have already worn out the gun too. I've already shot maybe 6000 rounds with it since day one (and I only purchased this rifle three days ago, so I must have been very rigorous with it), and was wondering if the parts have already worn out too soon -- spring and seals perhaps.

You should be able to tell by now how noob and I am to airsoft AEGs. I've always been an airsoft pistol fan, and a first time try with an AEG is something exciting to me, and a curious one as well...

However, I don't feel to excited with this since my CO2 airsoft blowback can shoot harder, faster, and as accurate.

Again, am I expecting too much from my AEG rifle?

  • What's the Effective Range for an Airsoft Pistol?

I only have a chump of an airsoft CO2 blowback pistol. This is probably one of the least recommended in the airsoft gaming community. It's an Ignite Airsoft Black-Ops 1911 pistol.

Please take these details to assess this pistol and hope you can give me some of your findings to compare with your more premium airsoft pistols (KWA perhaps?)

I am able to shoot within a 2-inch by 2-inch box printed on a piece of thin cardboard from a distance of 25 feet, using 0.25 gram BBs. With what I have given, what I mean is that, I am able to place all my BBs inside this box while I stand from as far as 25 feet. Several times, I can even shoot with this pistol on the same hole where a previous BB was shot. I even managed to "double tap" and both BBs landed on the exact same spot.

I know this pistol isn't the best, however, I wonder if you have conducted a similar test with your airsoft pistols using this kind of method. Come on, you're probably laughing now 'cause 25 feet is too darn close!

Hope to hear from you guys soon. And yes, please use an airsoft PISTOL only. Rifles and submachine guns have longer barrels and should provide better accuracy and range.

  • Can I Use Baby Oil Instead of Silicone Oil on My Airsoft Gun?

We all know that baby oil (such as Johnson and Johnson's Baby Oil) is gentle on, well, baby's skin. So I was wondering if it's okay to use as lubricant as well as a mild cleaner for my airsoft gun.

Airsoft gun and I am pertaining to my CO2 propelled 6mm plastic BB shooter. I only shoot indoors on an airsoft dedicated shooting range, so NO dust, NO dirt to worry about.

I was wondering if this baby oil will be good enough to prolong the rubber seals and lubricate sliding metal parts on my airsoft gun.

I know this sounds stupid or completely NOOBish. But I was wondering about it since baby oil readily available in virtually any grocery store.

  • What happens and what do you do AFTER you rescind your ITIN?

A legal immigrant has been granted an ITIN by the US Internal Revenue Service. The individual has been using this ITIN as a unique proof of identification as dependent-non-working spouse. Years later, the Immigration has granted this individual his green card which allows him to work and therefore, apply for a Social Security Number (SSN). It is the request of the IRS, that once granted a SSN, he must send a letter of request to RESCIND HIS ITIN and that will authorize the IRS to do so and transfer all tax-related information from previous years onto his fresh new SSN.

However, this reminds the individual of his State Department of Revenue (DOV). Back when he was still on ITIN, this ITIN is the only thing he had been using when the state tax filing is due. Now that he has his SSN... Question is...

Should he separately inform his local/state dept of revenue regarding his rescinded ITIN and replacing it with a SSN?

The individual did not receive any command from the IRS to inform his local/state DOV about his rescinded ITIN. Is he obliged to write to them regarding this matter?

And all the individual thought was that the IRS and local/state DOV have a centralized information system and would automatically relay the new ITIN from the IRS to his local DOV, is this a fact?

And what if the tax refunds have already been granted and all these information hasn't been completely processed by the IRS not the State DOV, is he subject to penalty. As far as the individual is concerned, he has abode to these requests and all and in a TIMELY MANNER. What if the government agencies themselves involved had been too slow?
