  • Song lyrics for hymn called The Everlasting King?

Need the lyrics and can't find them anywhere on google. I have the Sir Harry Secombe Abide With Me CD and the song is called The Everlasting King. It was written by Ronnie Cass and Carolyn James. I wrote down some of the lyrics - "sea of galilee" "gentle way" "heart filled with praise" and "hosanna".

    Anyone have any idea?

    Thanks!

  • Dance song from 90s? Good life?

Anyone know this dance song from the 90s? It might have been by New Power Generation - that's what comes up on google anyways. It isn't the one by Prince - it pretty much repeats these lines over and over:

The good life one day that's what I'll be livin

Fantasy never hurt nobody, whatever chills the illin

When the everyday gets on your last one, give it up and go

2 the place in everyone's future, the

good life one day we'll know

If anyone knows if it is a remix or something, or where I can get hold of it (tried limewire), please let me know.

    Thanks xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Joe and his motorbike?

Joe wanted to buy a motorbike. He doesn't have much luck until, one day; he comes across a Harley with a 'For Sale' sign on it.

The bike seems even better than a new one, although it is 10 years old. It is shiny and in absolute mint condition. He immediately buys it, and asks the seller how he kept it in such great condition for 10 years.

"Well, it's quite simple, really," says the seller. "Whenever the bike is outside and it's going to rain, I rub Vaseline on the chrome. It protects it from the rain." - and he hands Joe a huge jar of Vaseline.

That night, his girlfriend, Sandra, invites him over to meet her parents. Naturally, they take the bike there. But just before they enter the house, Sandra stops him and says, "I have to tell you something about my family before we go in. When we eat dinner, we don't talk. In fact, the first person who says anything during dinner has to do the dishes."

"No problem!" he says, and in they go.

  • I want to send a wedding acceptance to my sister, but I don't want to send a traditional card - any ideas?

I am a bridesmaid at my sister's wedding, but still have to send an acceptance, I think. My other sister wrote WE WOULD LOVE TO COME on separate pieces of paper and her, her partner and children held them up for a photo - I want an original idea like this! Can anybody think of anything? If not, just some nice ideas for what to write in a card would be good. Thanks!

  • I want a decent video camera, but don't want to shell out too much money. Can anyone advise me?

I am looking for a relatively inexpensive video camera to take on holidays with me. I know a bit about the types of cameras and stuff, but I am not sure which would be the best type (MiniDV, Hi8, DVD, etc). Could someone please explain the difference (in simpletons terms please!) and advise me on purchasing one? How much should I be expecting to pay realistically? Can anyone suggest a make and model?

    Thanks very much,

    Jess

  • Which is better.... Sunbed use....?

Hi all, please could you advise me as to which is better - going on for 6 mins once every two weeks or for 3 mins once a week? I want to build up a tan slowly, rather than burning myself to a crisp! I know a lot of you might try to dissuade me from using a sunbed, but I'm going to use it anyway to build up a gradual tan for my sister's wedding.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Plan to sing at my sister's wedding. Where can I find a backing track to a Don Williams song?

I'm looking for a backing track (or even sheet music) of the song "You're my best friend" (I think that's what it is called) by Don Williams, anyone know where I can find it? I also wondered if anyone knows if anyone has done a version of this song, as I'd like to listen to it.

Please don't slag off the song for singing at a wedding - I chose it because it means a lot to me and my sister, and it can also symbolise the love between her and her husband-to-be.

    Thanks very much in advance.

  • My sister's wedding is in May, I'm a bridesmaid, but where can my boyfriend go?!?

Basically, we have been going out for 3 and a half years, but my boyfriend doesn't know many of my extended family. His family are invited to the evening do, but what can I do with him in church? I feel like my sister has enough to worry about, without asking her if a) he could sit at the front near us, or b) who the hell he can sit with!! Also, the bridesmaids and best man are travelling to the wedding reception in one of the bridal cars, so he will be going with my mum in her car. I feel so awful, and I don't want it to spoil our day. I'm hoping I won't be on the top table, and I might have to ask if I can just go on a table with him. We should be OK in the evening, because we can do what we like and it's more informal, plus we're sleeping over at the hotel.

It might sound a bit pathetic, but I don't want anything to spoil my sister's day, which is why I'm asking here instead of asking her! I'd really like some advice please!!

    Thanks

  • How much spending money will I need to stay SC in Playa De Las Americas, Tenerife, for 2 weeks?

I am staying in Parque Santiago 4, if that helps, and I don't know how much to take. I estimate about £800 to have a really good time, would this be about right?

    Thanks,

I studied AS Level Spanish at college last year, and I wondered if there was any way that I could study and make this into an A level, or would I have to redo the whole A Level?
