  • Why did my Pell Grant disappear even though my EFC is only 800?

So basically I’m transferring from a local university to an OOS university where I got a very good scholarship, and when I filed for FAFSA, I am eligible for Pell Grant because my EFC is only 800. But, my financial aid portal only has loans and federal work study along with some scholarships, and my Pell Grant is nowhere to be found? Even after loans and scholarship, my cost of attendance would still be higher than I can afford. Do you think scholarships could have disqualified me from getting my Pell Grant?

  • Should Antelope Valley be seceded from LA County??

From my personal point of view, Antelope Valley areas (Lancaster, Castaic, Agua Dulce,...) deserves its own county or to be parts of Kern County! LA surburbs don't spread as far to its high desert region, which is a good thing! What do y'all think?

  • What's special about Japan?

Japan, although, made great technology that cater everybody's needs from all around the world and all. But beside that, what's special about it?

Will people ever realize that Japan is a sinful country because of what it done in WWII. Not only that, its entertainment is full of porno camouflaged by innocent looking cartoon characters! And die hard Anime fans tend to give Japanese cartoon excuses to justify its sexual contents. Not only that, Japan is a sexist country where men can have all the authority, and women are treated more like properties. Are people seeing this about Japan at all? It's also a country that doesn't promote diversity! If you're foreigners, you're not allowed to participate anything that Japanese do! And yet, people still love Japan like it's the nicest country, but it's not. While people complaining racism in USA, USA is highly diverse. Japan is like 99% Japanese!

What is that small circular cap on the front bumper for?

My Volkswagen Jetta had this small circular cap on the front bumper. But one day, I lost it since I park my car on the street all the time. Is this cap important to my car, or is it just a pointless cap?

  • Haven't take the AWPE test in May! But I've already sign up for UC Riverside orientation?

It is said that I'm expected to have taken the AWPE in order to attend UC Riverside Orientation. But I haven't take the AWPE test in May because I didn't plan to go to UC Riverside. But I changed my mind now. Is there a way for me to make up the AWPE test without having to go all the way to Riverside? I live 8 hours away from Riverside (estimated by car), and I don't think it's a good idea for to drive all the way to UC Riverside to take a test.

  • Is "Eastern Europe" a stupid term?

I got in an argument about Europe and for some reason, the person that I argued with said that nobody should call Eastern part of Europe "Eastern Europe" because it is referring underdevelopments, human rights violation in those countries? Be honest, how is the term "Eastern Europe" referring to those, I'm just simply referring to geo location!

  • Obama won't go to the Olympic? WTF?

What do you think? So now Obama won't go to the Olympic to support his athletes directly! That's a childish move. Supporting athletes directly is better than supporting them in your own territory. I think Obama seems to try to back out at Russia just because Russia passed a law! No wonder why Putin treats Obama with contempt!

  • why is my laptop battery drain so quick after it hits the low 30% or so?

My laptop battery was draining slowly until it hits 40% or 30% or sometimes higher (it fluctuates). But my point is why is it starting drain slowly and then suddenly at a certain point ( it starts drain as fast as like 30 seconds) I don't understand this battery. When I checked the the Vaio Care function, it says my battery status is excellent. BTW, this is a 4400 maH battery, my laptop is a Sony Vaio E Series with 17.3" screen.

  • Underrated counties and overrated countries! Do you think my list is right?

Overrated: USA, UK, France, China, India, Japan (these countries are very popular and perhaps too popular).

Underrated: Mongolia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh, Lebanon, Turkey, Ukraine, Greece (these countries are beautiful but yet not many people would pay attention)

USA is overrated because people think USA is a land of opportunities but overall, you have to work really hard! UK an France are a little bit overrated because many people would choose to go to these countries rather than some other nice countries as well. China is overrated because many people think all Asians are Chinese, Japan is overrated because of anime ( people rather go o Japan and learn Japanese for animation rather than learning the traditional value of the Japanese). India is beautiful but it's very crowded over there. I also don't like to see women being persecuted everyday in India (but that might be just the media)

I think Mongolia is underrated because it is among the most beautiful place ever and Mongolians have very high IQ as well as Chinese and Japanese. Russia is underrated because despite it has so many beautiful places to go, Western media tend to slander Russia's reputation and make it sound like a bad country while Russia is among the countries with highest literacy rate (first country to put things into space!!) Kazakhstan is beautiful and very developed compare to other Central Asian countries. Kazakhstan is among the best countries in term of education and literacy! There are many space launching center in Kazakhstan (also, not many people heard of Kazakhstan). Bangladesh is beautiful and fun. Lebanon is nicknamed as the "Switzerland of Middle East", so you can pretty much infer from there! Turkey is so amazing, Istanbul is brilliant!! I really like lifestyle and the city itself. Ukraine is astonishingly harmonic! Ukraine is moving West of course but also a lot of Russian tradition in there which makes it harmonic. Greece is the coolest place ever!

  • Common Core Policy in education?

Is there really a policy called Common Core which degrade the standard of Math English skills in the US's education? I never heard of that! And I heard 45 states were bribed into the policy and supposedly making our educational system worse. I quite don't understand why something this corrupted actually implemented in our country while our USA has a low corruption rate in the Global Corruption Index?

  • Would you tolerate USA to strike Syria? I know I wouldn't!!?

USA, UK and France are probably going to strike or intervene the Syrian conflict. However, Russia and China will not approve this at all since the inspection is not even over! What would you think, are you agreeing with Russia and China? Or are you with USA (mostly USA makes the decision actually)?

  • laptop's battery question?

everytime i use my laptop, i always let it drains completely before charge it fully again. My question is, is this a good recalibration for your laptop or it's only should be done once a month. To be cautious, I use my laptop until it's 2% and then let it discharge few more hours and then after that I charge it fully. I do this all the times and will it retain my battery's life?

  • Do you think Buzzfeed is biased?

I enjoy some Buzzfeed stories and articles. But when it comes to politic or world news, Buzzfeed can be very biased and the people who comment in Buzzfeed are so easily manipulated by it.

  • Do you think San Jose,CA as a place to grow up and work in?

I know many people did live and grow here!! But would you rather move to the big city rather than here? But I know this Silicon Valley area is known for its amazingly profound computer science technologies. However, I don't think I can live here forever. If you aren't from San Jose, what is your view about San Jose when you heard it?

  • Is LGBT out of control?

At first I support LGBT, but now Im starting to think that they are really bugging everyone including Russia. Russia has low birth rate, corruption and an Olympic coming up and now the LGBT is causing more problems. I understand that LGBT is suffering but the government wouldn't take such measure if the LGBT didn't start to act up. Just because the West approves gay marriage and propaganda doesn't Russia has to follow. I'm not against gay at all, I'm just against their way of protesting. And I understand that Russia is very rigorous when it comes to improve the country and as far as I can see, gay people is not in it. There are many to concentrate in Russia than this gay law, that's what Russia is trying to do. I want you guys opinions. Please don't take this offensively.

I never said I hate gay people, I only say their tactics of protesting is not effective even if they were beaten. They have to understand that Russia is not the same as other European country, it's differ in many ways. And Russia has more problems that it needs to work on other than this gay thing!!!
