Where do I learn about creating 3d characters from profile and side profile pictures?
I want to learn how to create a 3D character from a facial picture and a side profile picture.
I am not interested in websites or programs.
I want to create a program myself (for copyright reasons) :)
3 AnswersDrawing & Illustration8 years agoIs there a solvent that makes plastic dissolve to a syrupy consistency?
When Styrofoam is dissolved in acetone, it becomes gooey. As seen in the video below.

I need it more to be like pancake syrup. Is this at all possible? :) Thank you.

If that is the case, where can I ask for these names?
2 AnswersTeaching9 years agoIs there a non polluting chloroform substitute for dissolving Polyethylene Terephthalate?
I want to dissolve Polyethylene Terephthalate.
Originally I was going to use chloroform.
I went to buy some chloroform and I was told that it was declared as a pollutant by the Egyptian equivalent of the EPA.
Just like any standard government agency, they declared it a pollutant and are not providing the names of any substitute that is either non polluting or even less polluting, for that matter.
I would like to start a business where I'm doing this, but I honestly would like to participate in polluting the Earth more than it already has been polluted.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you very much.
3 AnswersChemistry9 years agoCan the chemical reaction of curing concrete be reversed?
What I mean by reversing is making a soft mixture that can be reused in making new concrete shapes. I'm just curious. I have around me piles and piles of broken concrete with large pebbles, red brick and other stuff. It would be cool if we could reverse the chemical reaction. Is this possible?

I want to paint silicone onto plastic so I can use it with alcohol.
I know that alcohol dissolves plastic. But it does nothing to silicone.
Any advice? :D
2 AnswersEngineering1 decade agoIn magnets, what does n50, n35 and so on, stand for?
Magnets have ratings of n50, n35 and so on.
What does it mean?
Also, neodymium magnets found inside hard disks, have an "n" of what?
Thank you.
2 AnswersEngineering1 decade agowould electrical inverter outputs connected in parallel increase overall ouput power?
Technically, would it even work?
I imagine DC to AC inverter outputs connected in parallel would give me the same voltage at a higher current; resulting in higher power, of course.
Apparently buying a couple of low power inverters and connecting them together is cheaper than getting a high power inverter where I live.
Would it actually work?
Thanks a million!
5 AnswersOther - Electronics1 decade agoWill water vapor passing through an area 120 degrees Celsius going to 105 degrees Celsius condense?
Of course those values aren't necessarily correct! I'm not sure. But here is my question in more detail. :-)
Lets say we have a gas at a temperature higher than that of its boiling point.
Then it passes on to an area of lower temperature, but it is still higher than it's boiling point.
Will the gas condense if it loses more heat than its heat of evaporation?
Thanks
2 AnswersChemistry1 decade agoDoes latent heat of vaporization change according to vapor pressure?
The latent heat of vaporization of liquid water is 2.5 MJ/kg. This is at atmospheric pressure.
If in a lab I'm using less than atmospheric pressure (.5, .25 or even less), water's boiling point become less because of the now less vapor pressure.
Does any change occur to the latent heat of vaporization?
Thank you.
1 AnswerChemistry1 decade agoShould I let a student who gets Algebra concepts but can multiply, divide, add or subtract use a calculator?
Help! I am teaching a group of students mathematics (Grades 6 through 10). Unfortunately, some of them either can't multiply, divide, add or subtract or are incredibly slow doing them.
Amazingly, they actually get other mathematical concepts; Pythagorean Theorem, sequences, equation solving... Should I let them use calculators?
The only reason I'm thinking of giving in is because they are allowed to use calculators on the SAT :(
3 AnswersTeaching1 decade agodoes vapor at a lower speed need to lose less heat to condense than vapor at a higher speed?
The reason I'm using the word speed vs. temperature is because I know that the higher the speed of a gas, usually, the hotter it is.

11 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoIs plumber's grade silicone toxic after curing?
I wanted to use silicone to create molds that hold food. I know that I should be using food grade silicone, but it doesn't exist where I live.
Plumber's grade, on the other hand, is readily available. After it cures, is it toxic? I'd be thankful for actual replies :)
2 AnswersChemistry1 decade agoWill a tire valve stem used backwards become a vacuum valve?
If I have a tire valve stem and put it in reverse on a cylinder I have, where the only contact with outside air is through the valve stem, would it work as a vacuum valve?
3 AnswersEngineering1 decade agoIf I wanted to maintain a vacuum inside a cylinder, what do I need? Do I need a vacuum valve? What is needed?
I know that to create a vacuum, a person will need a vacuum pump. But what do I need after the vacuum is achieved?
All I have is a cylinder.
I am just looking for names and functions of parts.
