Why does my 3 prong outlet not accept iMac 3 prong cord but will accept other 3 prong cord?
PLEASE READ ENTIRETY OF POST!
I tried plugging the power cord for my iMac (a standard 3-prong cord) into a standard 3-prong outlet in my apt. today & the iMac cord WILL NOT GO INTO THE OUTLET. But the 3-prong cord for my power strip will go in just fine to the same exact outlet & the iMac power cord will fit into any outlet on my power strip but I cannot plug my iMac directly into the wall outlet. It simply wont go in. There's no sparking. I try to fit it in but it just goes in a short way, not nearly far enough for a secure connection. Yet other 3-prong cords go in fine. I looked at the size of the flat prongs & thats not the issue as far I can tell.
The outlet in question is controlled by a wall switch but I dont know if that makes a difference.
Anyone have any ideas???

3 AnswersOther - Television1 decade agoFlooring structure questions?
My condo is on the 3rd floor & I'm looking to replace the 3/4" white oak floor with 5/8" strand woven bamboo.
After removing some of the oak I have found that the sub-floor is a concrete slab (I'm unsure of the thickness) covered by 1/8" of "insulayment underlayment". On top of that are two(2) layers of 3/8" plywood screwed to eachother with 3/4" screws. The plywood is not attached to the 1/8" insulayment mat or the concrete slab in any way. So my first question is, is this normal floor construction?
My seconod question has to do with the fact that there appears to be green mold between the plywood planks & behind the baseboard. Should I be worried?
Thanks in advance. I appreciate any help you can offer.
