  • Deleting Facebook problems?

I'm trying to delete my facebook. I know that I have to delete everything manually off of it and I'm almost there. My problem is my wall. I know I have older posts, it just won't load them. It gives me the option to view them, when I choose to do so it tells me I have none. I'm stuck. Also, I don't want to disable facebook, I want to permanently delete it.

  • Turntables and vinyl records help.?

While cleaning out my parents attic yesterday, I came across 8 milk crates full of old records. I want to be able to play them. Problems... Some of them are different sizes, do I need a different player for different sizes? What type of player should I get? I'm on a bit of a budget. Everything up there was dusty as hell, is there any way to clean them up? Thanks in advanced.

  • Ubuntu Internet Connection?

I am new to linux. I am not new to computers. I am going to be running Ubuntu 8.04. My machine is a Dell D620. My wireless card is a Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-Card. Due to living circumstances, I have no access to the internet besides wireless.

Right now I am running wubi. I played around with Ubuntu enough to know that I like it and I want to make the switch. Can I download the linux drivers on my windows boot, put them onto a cd or flash drive, and then use them on my linux boot?

  • Swimming help?

I am not new to being in shape. I run 5 times a week, distances from 2 to 5 miles. I do push ups and pull ups every day. I eat healthy. I don't smoke. This has all been like this for years.

I go to the pool a couple times a week and I do laps. I don't try and go as fast as I can. I try for a nice pace opting for distance. The problem is that whatever I do, after a couple laps, I need to stop. I get too tired to keep going. I've been going for months and I am not improving at all. I am stagnant in my progress.

After I am done, I watch people while they swim. There is this one old guy. He is there before me and still there when I leave. He swims faster then me and swims a distance that is incomprehensible to me. I am 20 years old and in the best shape I have ever been.

How do I get better? How can I improve my form? How can I increase my distance? How can I increase my speed? How can i expel less energy and do more work in the pool?

  • Enlisting in the Coast Guard Reserves..?

I am thinking of enlisting in the coast guard reserve... I live in close proximity to NYC. Where is basic training? What is basic training like? How long will my commitment be? What is life like in the Coast Guard Reserve? What does my commitment involve? What will I receive out of my commitment? Any personal experience/stories? Will I be able to do anything with my time in the Coast Guard after I get out? I want to be a police officer or firefighter. I know, a lot of questions... Kudos to anyone that can help. Points to the best. Thanks in advance.

  • Vacation Advice?

I am officially entering the work force this winter and I want to go somewhere on vacation. I want to go to Europe. I am American and am very aware of the weak dollar against the euro. I also have my passport. Any advice on getting there? Lodging? Transportation? Anything to see in particular? Cheap on everything. I am looking to stay for a week minimum.

  • New car????

The transmission on my truck just blew up. It isn't worth it to repair or replace it due to the condition of the truck. I now want a USED car. The three cars that I have narrowed down to are...

    VW Golf

    Honda Civic

    Toyota Corolla

I am looking for more mpg (my truck got 12), utility (Golf), reliability and durability (Civic and Corolla), and fun factor to drive. I am getting the car with a manual transmission.

I avidly surf and would like something that could carry my long board (around 9'6") around.

I live in the North East. The area has almost no hills but we get a lot of snow.

I have no plans to do anything to the car besides required maintenance.

I am looking to spend no more than $10,000.

Taking that into consideration, whats your opinion? Comparisons and personal experience are greatly appreciated. Any other car suggestions would be amazing. Best answer gets 10 points! Thanks in advanced!

  • Problems under the hood. PLEASE HELP!!?

1998 Ford Explorer, Automatic, 6 cylinder, 125,000 miles. I baby the car. I come to slow and complete stops. Never press down harder on the gas then I need to. Let it take its time getting up to speed on roads that have a faster speed limit. Change the fluids whenever they need to be changed, on time every time. I consider myself to be mechanically inclined. This baffles me.

I can start my car. When I put it through the gears, nothing happens. The car won't move in reverse, drive, 2nd, or 1st. I tried turning the car off and starting it in neutral. No avail. The car just revs.

Occasionally(emphasis on occasionally), I can put it in drive and it will go but it doesn't seem right. I have to go to awfully high RPM's in order to get the thing moving. The gear changes aren't smooth, it seems like it falls into neutral, the RPM's go up really high and then it shifts.

Time for a new car or should I fix it? Any ideas on what this could be? If so, any idea on the costs involved? Thanks!
