Help me design an expermiment!?
I have a sample of Potassium Nitrate/Sucrose Propellant. It is currently in granular powder form, but can easily be converted into a solid mold. I want to perform a series of experiments to determine its enthalpy of combustion. I figure it will probably involve some sort of calorimetry, but I'm not really sure where to go from there. Any help would be appreciated!
1 AnswerChemistry5 years agoCan my graphics card run dual monitor games?
I plan on purchasing a Geforce GTX 960. Also, will I need the 4 GB instead of the 2GB? I know it varies game to game, but generally speaking, what type of performance can I expect?
2 AnswersAdd-ons5 years agoFirst time PC builder needing help with installing an OS.?
I'm about to order the components to the desktop I plan on building next month. Every computer/laptop I've had in the past has come preloaded with Windows. I have been satisfied with its performance as an OS, but in the interest of saving money (and just to try something new), I'd like to install a Linux/GNU OS. I'm wondering which distro to install: I've heard Ubuntu is good and easy for beginners. So, if I have a brand new PC, how do I go about installing it?
4 AnswersSoftware5 years agoHow do I get into an undergraduate college chemistry program?
I realize that the requirements for each program are different, but I was just wondering what type of grades or AP exam score, in general, I would need to get to be accepted as a chemistry major. I am very involved in extracurriculars, have done 200 + hours of community service work, 3 sport athlete, and am currently taking 3 AP classes. Will any of this help? How important are other grades besides chem?
2 AnswersHigher Education (University +)6 years agoAny Chemistry or Biochemistry majors out there? I have questions...?
I am currently a high school student interested in pursuing a degree in chemistry or biochemistry. Chem is my favorite class by a long shot. I have the highest chemistry grade in my class. I was wondering if there was any additional reading or research that could help me advance further in this class or even just introduce me to new ideas about chem? Also, what careers would be available to somebody with a masters degree in chemistry or biochemistry?
