A man walked into a barber shop,

To get the latest trendy hair crop,

He had a deal of 10% off,

"Good gracious Sir, your hair is all doff!",

Barber gave his bush-eyebrows a chop.

Septolet

The Septolet is a poem consisting of seven lines containing fourteen words with a break in between

the two parts. Both parts deal with the same thought and create a picture.

Talcum powder sprinkled,

Creating sandy dunes,

Roman god of war,

4th ranked from your Sun,

Protected by it's guards,

Phobos and deimos,

Raise your shield, Olympus Mons

Towards the Heavenly sky,

See where other martians are,

out there that you can find,

Bring me back some samples of -

Martian neighbour soil,

In hope that we can one day make,

Something rich in toil.

I am trying to do something new. I have mada a trigee with each line in both verse having 6 syllables and both small poem are meant to rhyme followed by a free verse third.

Does this go? Or not a good idea?

So I called a little Gnome ……………... …To find my true love
