14 AnswersPhilosophy9 years agoPeople begging for money on the streets and around food stores? Have u noticed this in your area?
This is a very recent phenomenon in my area. I live in the wealthiest county in my state. We have no homeless shelters and we've never seen this kind of thing before. Many of these people aren't freeloaders or drug addicts as far as I can determine. They are apparently the New Poor of the Greatest Depression, which I believe the entire world is experiencing. Things have reached the point that I feel the need of a bodyguard just to go somewhere to buy basic food items and other supplies. These people are getting more aggressive by the day. The whole country seems to be coming apart. There are no longer requests for money, but only demands, and more like a threat in some cases. I do what I can, but I can't provide for everyone.
