Mileage Allowance and Tax?
If at the beginning of he financial year my boss paid 35p per mile and then changed it to 45p per mile part through the year can I then have however many miles I did at 35p again once I reach 10,000 miles? My example is this: 2000 miles at 35p, 8000 miles at 45p. I have reached my 10,000 miles but I am allowed to claim £4500 on the first 10,000 miles so can I then have another 2000 miles at 35p to make up the difference and then revert to 25p per mile?

My five year old son has torn his arterial crutiate ligament. He has been told that surgery is not an option and that he will never be able to play football or rugby ever again. Is there anything that can be done? Will it fix itself? Is there an option for reconstructive surgery later in his childhood?
2 AnswersMedicine7 years agoUpstairs lights not working?
I've bitten off more than I can chew! During the decoration of my bathroom I thought I'd replace the old light with a shiney new one (exactly the same). Switched the upstairs light switch of at the fuse box, changed the light (I thought I'd rewired it exactly the same) and then flicked the switch back up. Tried the new light and nothing happened. None of the upstairs lights now work. Unwired the new light and still no upstairs light. Any help would be appreciated. The house was built in 2001 (if that helps) and there are 4 red wires, 3 black wires, another identical black wire with a small, loose bit of red sheath around it and 3 (I think) yellow and green wires. It's just a simple new light with a hole for live and a hole for neutral (I assume). Please help me.

I have a spreadsheet with a constant in cell C4. What I want to do is to check which cell from B8 to B1000 matches the value of C4 (there will only be one that matches). Now if cell B12 is the same as C4 then I want to calculate H12 - C12, or if the cell B999 matches C4 the I want the cell to return H999 - C999. I hope I make sense.

I have a spreadsheet for my wife's childminding accounts book and she can claim on electricity, gas and council tax at different rates depending on the hours she has worked.
I need a formula to work this out:
if cell a1 contains the word council and cell b2 is less than 10 then return 0
if cell a1 contains the word council and cell b2 is 10 - 15 then return 10% of cell c3
if cell a1 contains the word council and cell b2 is 15 - 20 then return 15% of cell c3
if cell a1 contains the word council and cell b2 is 20 - 25 then return 20% of cell c3
if cell a1 does not contain the word council return 0
Many thanks

When I lived in Plymouth I used to enjoy potato surorise / spicy spuds from kebab places. I now live in Swansea and you can not get them anywhere. My question is, does anyone know a recipe or anywhere near Swansea I can get them?
