the dvd player doesn't recognize the mp3s and windows media player doesn't recognize the dvd. it will play the music but when i try to burn it tells me to insert a cd. and just the opposite for the dvd player because the music is not in a dvd format.

  • drinking age change kids?

back when the drinking age was 18 years old , the adults 18-21+ would go to the bars on weekends or to parties. for the most part they seperated themselves from the younger kids.

Now days it seems that when you see the kids hanging around at mcdonalds or where ever the local hang out is . there are 20 year old men hanging out with the underage girls. then they turn 21 and buy booze for their young friends. it was the same then but at least the kids were around the same age.

also ive noticed an increase in young adults being immature and mouthy. do you think that the drinking age is a factor whereas they're not interacting with adults when they reach adulthood?

I live in a small town and am sick of seeing men in their early 20's skatebording and riding their way too small bmx's around and most of em partying with the younger kids ,

i mean years ago , you turn 18 you go to the bars , you get cocky , you get punched in the mouth by a 30 yo man, and you grow up quick.

  • drinking age statistics?

When I was in high school the drinking age in most states was 18. when i was 16 it was changed to 19. Wisconsin was one of the last states to change to 21.

The questions are: Why was it changed, What has it changed? Anyone know the stats or what stats they used to determine the reasons for the change?

Alchohol isn't any harder to get and minors still drink as much as they used to in the past. or so it seems.

  • are kids movies affecting our kids in a bad way?

what i mean is, I watched 'Unaccompanied Minors' last night. I thought that the movie was really bad, I understand that its supposed to be for kids but ive noticed that all of these types of 'Nickelodeon' type movies seem to "empower" kids. The make adults seem stupid, slow, uncoordinated, etc... and the kids are rediculously disrespectful. Also puts kids on the same level as adults.

I dont know if any of you have seen this movie (and a hundred others like it) but , there is a girl in the movie that is punching grown men in the groin! Not even santa clause was safe!

I dont want my kids to see it. Do any of you feel that movies like this are sending the wrong message to our children? Teaching them that when it comes to adults that there are no boundries, that they are equal, that this type of behavior is ok?

and its not just movies, Kids choice awards and rock the vote and such, I even hear kids calling their teachers by their first names and nicknames.

  • what if we all filed exempt?

Do you think that if everyone in the country claimed "exempt" on their W4 starting today that the government would finally change the tax laws? They would have to do something different, dont you think , i mean they cant arrest 200 million people.

so if after claiming exempt and refusing to pay in at the end of the year , what kind of reaction would there be , from the IRS, or from the government.

I hesitate when using the word "government" as if its some seperate orginization, the government is the people. WE are the government. the people who we refer to as the government are only appointed by us to represent us. And yet it seems that they only represent themselves and their interests. I dont remember getting a vote on their pay raises.

after all the constitution says that we are all exemt. that income taxes are unconstitutional.

  • unepmloyment ?

i was reading the local newspaper in my home town the other day and the unemployment rate was said to be i 8% based on people who have worked at least 1 day per week. 1 DAY??!! so anyway the question, Is this how the government determines the unemployment rate? and do they really believe that someone that averages one day a week for the year is gainfully employed?

also what is the real current unemployment rate in this country? I mean based on people who have had at least 32 hours a week. or maybe your counted as unemployed if you made less than 10,000 dollars or something like that. I believe that the unemployment rate is a huge lie and is probably more like 20% or more in some places.
