I just bought a Nikon 50mm f/1.4 af-s to take low-light photography with my Nikon D40. It has a focus ring where there would normally be a manual zoom ring on other lenses like the 55-200 and the 18-55. How do I get it to zoom?

I'm sure it varies by cell phone carrier, but if someone blocked your number, what kind of message would you receive?

I have a DVD player that was working fine. Then one day I put a DVD in and it spins, but won't read the disk. I tired other disks that it normally reads like CD audio, etc. It does it with every disk. The wierd thing is that my previous DVD player (a different make/model) quit working the same way. What's going on?

I recently had thermal reconditioning (strait perm) done to my hair because I couldn't manage my frizzy, tight, kinky curls. While I love having strait hair, I want to add some light bouncy curls every now and the, but whenever I use an iron the curls drop after an hour or so. Does anyone have any ideas? Is there a special curling iron or setting solution that might help?
