  • Book suggestions...unique fiction, science fiction?

I'm looking for really unique books. I really like "weird" science fiction-y type books. However i don't care for stories about dragons, wizards, robots or anything common in the fiction genre (unless you seriously know a really UNIQUE kind that is like no other) I don't want to read about vampires (i've had my share of vamp. books with twilight). Generally, just books with a really unique plot line and preferably a page turner. I'm 17 so no kiddie books, no teeny books (all of them are too similar) just intesely amazing books. I have not read very many books since going to high school, but now i'm trying to fit in time to read more often.

    Books I liked:

    The Giver

    The Host

    Twilight Saga

    City of Ember

    Promise Not To Tell

    Coraline

  • Which is better? About laptops...?

I'm looking to buy a laptop. Thing is is that I only need it for a year until i graduate (next summer) then I will probably be getting a macbook pro of some sort. For now i need a cheap but very good laptop. I have a range of up to about $400.

I was looking at an ibook g4 on amazon

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001CGHH98?ie=UTF...

I like that it has a CD-ROM drive

is this one better or worse?

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000U9H40?ie=UTF...

and i was wondering if maybe i shouldn't get either of these at all, maybe I should just buy a new netbook for around $350...but i do know most netbooks dont have CD-ROM drives...I've been wanting to try a mac for so long, but perhaps there is something that fits my needs better? memory is also a big factor. I'm a photographer, so i need something that can hold a good amount of photos. Is 30 GB enough?

    So what do you recommend?

I've seen him on other shows and stuff too, so he's not just like some random photographer or something from some other country that no one knows about..does anyone know who this might be? what's his name?
