Hello! To give you a little background, I recently received a fix it ticket due to expired tags (registration was paid for, but I havent been able to get my car smogged because of messed up o2 sensors... which I currently dont have the money to pay for) and insurance (which I had no idea I didnt have as my insurance had just expired a couple days before and my mom (who just started taking over my insurance payments) said that my insurance was currently good to go). I shouldnt have been driving with expired tags to begin with, I know, it completely slipped my mind that day.

Im going to be taking my car in to get it repaired soon, but I wasnt sure if Ill need to go to the DMV to get a moving permit first... or if I simply will just need to explain to an officer if I get pulled over that Im getting it repaired in order to pass my smog test.

Thanks for any help and advice. Im a pretty new driver so all of this is rather new to me, as well as confusing.

I paid my car registration a little while back, but didnt get my tags due to my car needing to pass a smog test first. I went to get it done and was told that my car would instantly not pass because of the "Check Engine" light thats on. Then I found out the problem was one of my O2 sensors which I dont have the money to fix right now (Im an unemployed student).

Today I was pulled over for expired tags. I told the officer my registration was paid for and he gave me a fix-it ticket (but, for some reason, on the ticket it says I had expired registration o_O) which is a relief... But I have to go to court and Im absolutely terrified since it will be the first time Ive ever experienced that.

The officer said that its not going on my driving record and that theres really no amount of time I have to get all this done by (I just have to be careful that I dont get pulled over by another officer who may be a bit harder on me)... Will I have to pay fines although its just a fix-it ticket? Can anyone tell me what to except if I go to court without new tags?? What about if I get my car all fixed up, smog tested, and ready for new tags?

Court isnt until the end of December and Im already freaking out >_<

Hi :D Im a 19 year old currently looking for a part time job as I attend massage therapy school. Soon after I graduate Ill look for a massage therapy position, so whether or not I find a part time job now I need a professional hair style/cut.

My problem is that Im a girl who looooves funky hair. Ive had it blue, black, orange, red, pink (3 times. That was my favorite :)), highlighted, and cut all sorts of unique ways... so this natural brown that I dyed it recently just isnt doing it for me.

Any ideas for a fun, different look that wont turn away employers or clients? My hair is naturally wavy, but I usually straighten it so that it reaches about an inch below my shoulders.

Hello! Im leaving for Navy RTC on the 14th and Im a little confused as to what I should bring. The DEP book we were given after swearing in has a list of things I thought we needed but my recruiter said all we really need is a blank check and $20.

After looking online, all the sites Ive looked at say we need different things... One even said we need to buy a certain brand of tennis shoes and females need to bring half-slips and pantyhose, which was news to me!

So can anyone help me out with what I really need?? Thanks so much!

When we jump off the 10ft platform into the pool, can we swim any stroke we like? I heard that you could even dog paddle in order to pass, is that true?

Im not a good swimmer, but I feel like Ill be able to pass if we can choose the stroke (I can do a bad version of freestyle with my head up the entire time :P)

Hello! I was told the other day that I should wait until after boot camp to get my really bad cavities fixed (fixed as in 2 root canals >_<) because the stitches may open up before I leave (I leave in April). But he also said that MEPS will find any excuse to disqualify me on my ship date...whether its an ingrown toenail, a rash, or dry skin. Does that mean that they might disqualify me for having a couple bad cavities?

Hello! I know that I wont be able to wear my contacts or my own glasses (and that Ill be issued the lovely BC glasses), but can I still bring my contact lenses so I can wear them at my graduation?

My recruiter told me thats the one time I can wear them, but then Ive been reading info that says contact lenses will be sent home o_O So Im a little confused.

Im leaving for Navy boot camp April 14 and the idea of leaving my boyfriend of 2 years behind tears me apart. There are many reasons Im doing this, one of them being the benefits that my boyfriend and I will have once we are married. We're going to wait for each other but I was wondering how often Ill be able to see him. Will I be able to pay for plane tickets for him to visit if Im stationed on shore?

And for anyone else whos been in a similar situation, how do you deal with the loneliness? Since we met we've never gone a day without talking so boot camp is going to be difficult in more ways than one.

Hello! Im leaving for the Navy in April and wanted to give my boyfriend a promise ring on Valentines Day so he has something special from me (and then we'll both have one :]).

Ive been looking everywhere online but cant seem to find what Im looking for (for less than $200, that is. I have no monies); a Celtic design and an engraving option. I thought a tungsten ring would be perfect but one site I went to said they dont engrave tungsten rings because the engraving isnt easily read.
