  • Lazy child driving me mad!?

My fiances youngest has Asphergers but is no way stupid. He's 14. He's only attending school for 2 hrs a day for four days and yet he keeps making excuses why he doesn't want to go. If he's made to go he'll through a fit and hit someone and then get sent home which is what he wants. He's reading and writing is pathetic and it's unlikely he'll graduate High School. He's going to be an unemployed bum who eats pizza and plays video games all day. I know it upsets my fiance that his kid is like this but it get me so mad when he wont put his foot down with him.I'm worried it's going to cause an argument between us.

  • Should I send my resume to an Ex Employer?

I was retrenched after 20 yrs of service. I was in a good job as a sales coordinator and had a fair bit of responsibility. When the company sourced from offshore a number of us got made redundant. I've had a few jobs in the past 7 yrs but it's made me realise how good it was to work for them and I wish i could do so again.

I'm going to be made redundant again in 6 months from my current employer and am thinking of sending my resume in to my old work. Do you think this is a good idea? I didn't leave on bad terms.

  • Do children's eating habits play a big role if they have Asperger's ?

My partners two children (12 & 15 yrs) have Aspergers. Their diet is terrible. They only eat processed junk (easymac, minute noodles) no fruit, vegetables or protein (chicken, lamb, beef etc) If you feed them a decent meal they'll refuse to eat it and yes, they'll happily go hungry.

I've heard that their condition can be improved with a proper diet. Has anyone had any experience with this?

  • Screeching Lorikeet driving me nuts!?

My Lori is about 18 moths old and is a real character. He (I don't actually know the sex) copies absolutely everything he hears, the microwave, Dog barking, sneezing coughing, other birds etc it's absolutely hilarious!

My problem is, that he will screech VERY loudly. Sometimes he's sitting on my shoulder when he does this and makes my ears ring. I also have a cockatiel and when I'm near her cage he'll screech and carry on like he's either jealous or trying to protect her or something. Both birds live inside. It scares the life out of the dog to the point where she doesn't like being in the house at the same time as the Lori. Any suggestions?
