We haven't been able to use our above ground pool for 2 days due to weather. It was covered during that time. I didn't run the pump (call me stupid...). Anyway, I took the cover off today, planning to test the water and let the kids swim. The sides of the pool and the rafts had a slimy feel. The water is crystal clear, and there isn't anything floating in the water (except the random bug or leaf that blows in). Is this an algae problem or what? What can I do for it? I have shocked it and have run the pump pretty much all day. Should I let it go all night and then check it again in the morning? I have also wiped down the sides and bottom of the pool with my sponge mop? What else can I do?

Do you sometimes feel like a nut?

Today I went to Whole Foods, Wild Oats and Rainbow Blossom. We got 3 bags of items (and not many items in those bags) and spent $120. I found that Wild Oats was the least expensive of the three, but how do you shop there without spending every dime in your pocket?

I saw the question about how many have died and thought this was a good question too...... We have had at least 4 come out, and one of them was *totally* unexpected!!

Which do you prefer? Jelly filled, custard filled, creme filled or not filled at all?

They have one here and I'm debating on whether to go. What are they like now?

I should start by saying that I am VERY happily married to the man that I intended to marry from the time we met when I was 14 years old. My husband and I never dated until I was 21, though. Anyway, I dated my share of guys in my teens. There was one guy I went out with for about a month. We had been friends for years before we dated. We never even kissed, because it was weird (it was like dating your brother, ya know?). We split up and decided to remain friends. We stayed friends all the way into college until a time when I desperately needed a friend and he turned his back on me. So we never spoke again. Lately (for the past year or so) I have been having dreams about him. I don't think about him during the day or anything. But these dreams are about us getting together and always lead to us "almost" having sex. And we're always with other people, so...It never happens though. I don't get it. I think nothing about this guy. I'm happily married. Why these dreams??

Or am I the only one. I find that her books are well written and hillarious. She knows how to write intimate scenes, too... ;) So has anyone read any of her books?

I use mine maybe once a week and I noticed the paint is starting to peel off the little face. Unfair!!

I have The Wicker Man and Saw. I plan to watch something tonight and was wondering which one of these movies is better. Or should I hang these up and watch something else?

They were rivals forever, and I was just wondering if Howard ever made any comments about what Imus said. I imagine the comments would have to be hillarious.
