  • Heartland brand of chicken at Wal-Mart?

Yesterday I found cage free/antibiotic chicken at Wal-Mart and I'm trying to research the brand to find out if it really is "better" (meaning is it really antiobiotic free, etc). However, I can't find anything about it on the net. Has anyone heard of Heartland out of KY?

  • Dashboard lights flicker?

I have a 2006 Dodge Stratus and the dashboard lights flicker from dim to regular if I have my headlights on. They never go completely out, and from what I can tell the headlights/tail lights do not flicker. What could be causing this?

  • Dog suddenly eating more?

I have a ten-year-old pekingese. Three months ago, my husband and I just had a baby. The dog has been pretty depressed, even though we still try to give her a lot of attention. Well, about 3 weeks ago we moved into a bigger place. For the past 10 years my dog has eaten about a bowl of food every three days. Now, ever since we've moved, she eats a bowl a day. She seems happier in the bigger place, but would that make her eat more...even more than she ate before the baby? Do sick dogs eat more? I figured older dogs ate less?

My question is...what are your theories on why she could be eating so much?

  • Group B Strep Question?

This might be a silly question, but can you have sex the day/night before your Group B Strep test? I know they tell you not to the day before a pap smear, but the doctor never mentioned anything when talking about the GBS test.

  • How many bottles of each size?

My hubby and I are trying to buy tons of supplies before the baby is born since we don't want to rely on our shower to get everything we need (and our families don't really understand the concept of a registry, but that's another rant for another time). So, to the question(s):

How many 4 oz. bottles will we need? How many 8 oz. bottles?

I will be breastfeeding exclusively for the first month and then gradually move towards bottle feeding since I don't want to have to worry about breastfeeding/pumping after going back to work (comments about this aren't necessary...thanks in advance!). So, how many bottles of each size should we buy?

  • How to destress with 23 days to go?

I was reading the question here about wedding stress, so now I'm asking for ideas on how to destress.

I have 23 days to go and it seems like the "freak out moments" are happening more and more.

My only stipulation: it can't cost too much (no day at the spa)...stressing about paying for the wedding is enough. I don't need to add to that. Haha!

    Thanks all!

  • Wedding hair, did you do yours yourself?

I'm thinking about doing my hair myself for my wedding. I'm not wearing a veil, just a tiara. I was just going to curl it until it's just wavy, style it, and put the tiara on.

Have any of you done your own hair for your weddings or are planning on doing it yourself? How did it turn out? When the professionals ever curl my hair I end up looking like Shirley Temple, so I'm thinking this may be the best way to avoid that...or should I be putting that much pressure on myself on an already stressful day?

  • jacket or wrap?

The other day a question was posted about having dreams about your wedding and I posted, "Not yet." Well...last night I dreamed I hated the jacket on my dress and I wanted sleeves put on it. Now, today, that's all I can think about. LOL! I think it's because I tried the dress on the other day and the sleeves on the bolero jacket are tighter than before. Oops. I am going to start working out this week, but my worry is I might build muscle and the arms would still be tight. I'm thinking about buying a wrap that matches my dress as back-up. It's ivory (matching my dress) with beading on the end.

Anyway, my question is what do you like better over a wedding dress: bolero jacket or wrap?

Also, is it a good idea to buy the wrap as back-up or would I just be wasting money?

    Thanks!

  • El Dorado Royale on the Riviera Maya - dress code?

My fiance and I are thinking about going to the El Dorado Royale for our honeymoon, but we're pretty laid back people. I've read there is a dress code for the restaurants. Has anyone stayed there who could give me more details about this?

    Are jeans ok?

It says no "beach sandals"...is this just flip flops? Are regular sandals (even for men) ok?

  • Is this a good bridesmaid's gift?

Ok. So making my four bridesmaids little gift bags with things from Sephora in them. Each will have:

    Body Lotion

Lip Gloss (that matches the scent of the Body Lotion)

    Perfume

    Nail Polish

Scented Candle (that will also match or complement the lotion and lip gloss)

Each girl will get different scented stuff that matches what I know she likes (i.e. one girl loves coffee, so she's getting the Coffee and Cream combo while another bridesmaid loves tropical scents, so she's getting the Coconut Nectar).

Then inside each bag I'm going to put in a homemade Thank You card (I made them last night...I felt like being crafty) where I personalized the front and I'll write a letter to each one of them on the inside thanking them for being awesome friends and bridesmaids.

Does this sound good? It's all only costing me about $30 per bridesmaid. I think that's why I'm wanting another opinon on is this a good gift. Should I add something else? I don't have the money for gift cards.

  • Universal Studios Orlando on a budget?

My fiance and I want to go on our honeymoon to Universal Studios in Orlando at the end of April, but we are on a tight budget. Do you guys have any tips on how we could make the trip and not spend a lot of money? I did a search for Vacation Packages (4 day/3 night) but the tickets, hotel, and airfare all seem a little high.

Also, how expensive is the food and such within the park? I've been to Disney World quite a few times and remember how expensive everything is in there.

  • Bridesmaids' entrance song?

I need a song for the groomsmen to take their places to and then for the bridesmaids to walk down the aisle to. My fiance and I want something more classic, but not classical.

I am walking down the aisle to Tal Bachman's Beside You. It's not an old song, but it sounds very Beatles-like. We are walking out to the Monkey's I'm a Believer. So, you can see, our wedding is pretty non-traditional.

We don't want anything hip-hop....and nothing cheesy. No Celiene Dion! Haha!

I was thinking about Louis Armstrong's Beautiful World, but my fiance isn't so sure about that one.

    What are your suggestions??

  • My wedding dress?

Maybe I'm just being a typical nervous bride, but this is my dress. I love it, then I'm not sure, then I love it again. I was just wondering what you all think of it:

  • Receiving Line Question?

I just read somewhere online that during the receiving line, the mother of the bride is first, followed by the bride and groom, then the father of the bride, father of the groom, mother of the groom, then attendants. Why is this what's considered proper? My mother has passed and in no way do I want my step-mother to be before my (future) husband and me.

For those of you who've read my answers on here, you know I'm not having a completely traditional wedding anyway. I was mainly just wondering *why* this order is tradition.

    Thanks!!!

  • Where can I find an audio file of William Shatner or Bruce Campbell saying "Happy Birthday"?

I want to make my boyfriend a fun birthday greeting with either William Shatner or Bruce Campbell saying "happy birthday," but I can't find any audio files on the net where they say that. Does anyone have any suggestions of where to look?
