I live in Los Angeles, near Magic Mountain, and I was wondering if anyone knew of any theater groups or acting schools that would be okay with an accepting a complete amateur at the age of 25. Honestly, I wish I had done this all my childhood but I didn't have the drive and now that I do, I'm lost on where I can go to train or practice and learn. I don't have too much money so cheaper would be best for me.

I recognize it might just be something that's done and that's okay...but I was wondering if there was a way to schedule a restart on my Mac (via the Energy Saver in System Pref) and still keep my secondary display when it comes back. Currently, I have to unplug and replug the cable in; extremely minor hassle but if there is an easier way...I'm all for it.

Cops recently 'raided' my family home with a search warrant at the behest of a neighbor who claimed we were growing marijuana on the premises. They confiscated 7 marijuana plants and a grow light but I thought, as a medicinal patient, I was allowed a few plants for personal growth. Cops searched my house, raised eyebrows on things they thought were suspicious (unredemmed Zoloft prescription from when I was taking anti-depressants; they found it filed away with my other medical paperwork) I am a medical marijuana patient but now, with the plants going to the District Attorney, I'm afraid they may make a case. Can anyone offer any helpful insight or legal advice/counsel.

Has there been any word about another battlefront game in the near future?

I am in school for film and our lab tech said we should only use Panasonic Digital Video Advanced Master tape in the school's DVX and I wanted to know if this was a true concern? If it's not, would this just be stated as a precautionary measure or is it really true that the only tape that should go in a DVX is that specific tape?

I was recently on a student film set and there was a photographer there. He was chastised by the assistant director for his camera making noise (shutter) during filming since they were recording sound. He mentioned an item that eliminates camera sounds; this intrigued me being a photographer myself and being very interested in shooting on film sets but I forgot what he said and any of what I consider to be 'similar' searches on search engines have not yielded any results. I want to guess he said something like "photo box" but I haven't been able to find anything relevant with that search or other searches such as "camera silencers." Anyone know of the item I'm talking about?

I've noticed my Internet is really slow lately. Websites that used to load quickly seem to drag and I'm finding I can not upload anything anywhere. On YouTube, when uploading videos, I wait a while and then get a 'Connection Interrupted' message from FireFox. Uploading to deviantArt just sits there forever with no progress. It's been like this for a couple of days now. I have SBC DSL and speed tests are clocking my download at about 2433 kbps but my uploads only at 63 kbps. One time, the upload speed test seemingly failed completely (as it too just hung without result). I really don't want to call SBC as they will just tell me to uproot my entire system (remove modem connection from router) and then connect it directly which I usually find to be unnecessary, a waste of time. Anyone have any suggestions?

What is the meaning of "Para Niraye" in Tamil, Malaylam (sp), and Telgu?

I painted a small area of a plastic object with an all purpose paint and the paint seems to bond fine without a primer, however, the painted objects are stored where they bang against wood and I am constantly finding small spots that I have to touch up. Is there anything that can seal this paint on to take a little more abuse. They seem to fall victim just to light bumps and it is getting kind of annoying.

I have heard it called the "A" Section but is that it's official name? I know the other sections vary per edition and are individually titled with headings like Business and Health but what is the first section of the newspaper called if it has an actual, official name?

For whatever reason, the left side (right side if you are looking at me) of my face (chin/beard area all the way to the sideburns) does not grow facial hair as fast or as thick as the right side of my face. What's more the left side seems to/appears to stop growing and never matches the right. I look like a commercial for a bad shaving product, with long, scraggly hair on one side and shorter, slightly more neat on the other. It gets stranger because my upper lip (mustache area) does grow evenly on both sides of my face.

Does anyone know why this might be and how I might fix it?
