Went to hospital in a lot of pain on Jan 2, could not put weight on leg. They said it was a contusion, gave me a viocodin and sent me home. Neighbor called ambulance because my leg was bleeding and had hematoma on Jan 12 and was in hospital until Jan 17th. Had surgery and now on wound vac. Suppose to have skin graft. Is this normal way a hospital acts? Feel like they should have taken it more seriously and treated it differently.

His appeal was denied in district court, Ohio Supreme Court and if reconsideration is denied he wants to take it to federal court. I think he should write the Ohio Public Defender's office for an attorney, he thinks it's useless. Was not told he could get a new one for Appeal Court, inmates are writing his briefs. His attorney filed Andre's Brief and said he would have to do his own appeal. Is he right or is it worth a try? He says he is done on the state level if this fails and has to take his appeal to federal court.

A friend is in prison, just lost his appeal. In need of another attorney due to Anders Brief. I would like to find him a pro bono attorney not connected to the Ohio Public Defenders office. We believe he did not receive proper representation during trial. Are there any sites to post a request where attorneys can pick a case to do pro bono?

Is it legal in OH to tape record a witness on a mini cassette player without their knowledge? Can it be used in a court case involving someone else who lives at the house? Just curious: if a woman, who is able to work, and her youngest child is less than 6 months away from turning 18, is it true she cannot get on Metropolitan Housing (OH) and will lose her food stamps, once the child turns 18.
