How to build next to asphalt driveway?
I want to build a brick patio. The issue is that with the shape I want to build it, it would leave a strip between the existing asphalt driveway of about a foot. My solution is to put some kind of rock in to fill in the space. However, the missus doesn't want to have the space and wants the brick to extend all the way to the asphalt. The problem is that the edge of the asphalt isn't straight up and down (naturally), so getting a good fit with the brick seems difficult. I've considered cutting the asphalt with something like a concrete saw, but don't know how well that works, plus the asphalt in the area is curved, which seems like it would add to the difficulty.
Any suggestions on getting the brick and asphalt to come together are welcome.

I appears that someone helped themselves to the antenna on my 2000 Saturn LS1. I stopped by Pep Boys, and even though there were roughly 15 different antennas, the compatibility book said that they didn't have one for my vehicle. Is there something special about the different antennas other than being able to physically mount to the threaded stud that is sticking out?

An AT&T representative came to the door to tell us that they had extended their fiber service into our area. They would provide both internet and TV service. The pricing is about 30% less than I pay to Comcast for what sounds like better service on both the television and the internet sides. Of course, it's only better if their service isn't crappy. Does anyone have experience with AT&T fiber optic residential service?

My wife and our two young children passed through Pennsylvania on our way to Connecticut this past summer. We decided to stop for a day at Knoebels. Everybody really enjoyed the park. The nice part, especially with young children, is that you don't spend $50 for a ticket (like you would at a Six Flags resort) and not know how long they will be able to go. Knoebels was great in that you just buy however many tickets you want, and if you use them up, you just buy more. We spent several hours there and I think we spent a grand total of about $40 on rides. By the way, the food was not outrageously expensive, either.
If anyone is aware of parks similar to this, I'd love to know about them.
2 AnswersAmusement Parks1 decade agoQuestion about a subpanel?
I have a 50A circuit from my service entrance to a subpanel in a detached garage/shop. I want to add a circuit, but already have 6 circuits in there. My understanding is that per code, you must be able to shut off all circuits with just 6 switch movements. That means that I would need a main disconnect if I wanted a 7th circuit. There is a main breaker available for this panel. Can put in a 50A main breaker to satisfy this requirement?
