Why Americans like too much sugar?!?
Hi,
I have been living in the US for the last 2 years, and I noticed that the sweets and cakes here have too much sugar. In other countries I lived in I liked to eat sweets and they had a lot of sugar obviously. But in the USA I feel the sweets have double the amount of sugar than anything I have eaten before.
Once I liked to try the Oreo mini cakes, I couldn't eat more than one bite cuz it was tooooo mush sugar I couldn't stand it. I had to get rid of the whole box @_@.. I can't understand how people here allow their kids to eat such high sugar content foods, no wonder they get addicted to the sugar. Another case I bought a lemon mirang pie and it was also too sugary I couldn't eat it I felt sick. I also noticed that there is sugar in most of the products even canned soups, which is a first for me cuz I understand salt in soup but not sugar!!
Don't think it's just my taste pallet, really I like deserts and good food in general. And I traveled a lot and tried many kinds of food. But I was shocked with the over sweet food in the US.
You know that too much sugar is bad for you, right?!
